Efren Reyes vs Chris Melling
ACD pool tournament was held at The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were a lot of great matches with a very strong Pro field on the Men and Women's side.
This is the 2018 ACD match between Efren Reyes vs Chris Melling.

Asian Culture Day
I want to educate you on a monumental event that's happening in the great city of Las Vegas.
Last year, the Senate passed a bill, which was signed off by Nevada's governor Brian Sandoval, proclaiming May 18th as Asian Culture Day here in the state of Nevada.
As a Taiwanese born in Taipei Taiwan, I am very honored to be able to say I was a part of this festivity and I would like to invite you to come celebrate with us. We are throwing a big party all thru out Las Vegas from May 16th thru the 19th 2018 to celebrate the Asian Culture Day Holiday.
There will be multiple events thru out Las Vegas from the Fremont Experience, to the Rio Resort & Casino, and at the Orleans Casino.
One of the events, which I'm the producer of, is the 1st Annual Asian Culture Day Pool Tournament. For the pool enthusiasts, Efren Reyes is coming. For the people who don't know who he is, he's the greatest player that has ever lived. He is allowing us to call this his "Retirement Tour". We will also be presenting him with the first Annual ACD lifetime achievement award. HUGE!!!

Chris Melling is a gangster. I have learned so much just watching him play. And just like you said about his cue ball control…he makes it look so effortless. But that skill is only made through countless hours of hard work and practice

beautiful shot but I don't think she meant that pocket. It looks like she lost her turn but the other girl passed the turn back. Which they are allowed to pass the turn back according to the rules stated in efren and Chris game in the beginning. Assuming the girls have the same rules going on.

The score are not that bad,..it can go's in other way... well this is not a combat sports that you can be beat badly when you are old right....he gives the billiard a good look in a whole world..by his charisma the billiard has been notice.. The score didn't change at 41:10. Efren sank the ten in the corner. Sank the ten in the opposite corner at 45:24. The score should be four all at Efren's next break.

I feel sorry for Efren Reyes that he lost. He missed to many shots. The Pool God was not just with him is all. But good game. Chris Melling played a excellent game of pool also. Both played pretty good. Great game of pool guys. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸😀🎱

Blue blocker glasses make the blue tables look green. Very pleasant. I've been wearing blue blockers, with dark glasses clip-ons, for a couple of months now, and recommend it.

Lil Mike won 2 matches and lost 2. He was knocked out by Oscar Dominguez. Max actually was the only one that beat the champion James Aranas. He came in 5th or 6th out of the very tough field. That's all I remember off the top of my head. I'll try to show the brackets somehow when I get a chance. I'm currently working on something much bigger then the tournament I just threw. Stay tuned....

so you haven't seen the one where he loses to steve davis? davis is 8-2 down and comes back to win. this reyes guy is so overrated. and davis isn't even a pool player. id love to see some of these pool players try snooker. they'd get blasted off the table. snooker players can play pool at the top level but pool players aren't even top 500 in snooker.

I like how the Magician after running out perfectly to bring the score 4-3 he goes to empty a pocket of balls that dont exist, they come out bottom end chute of course. I do it all the time myself and remember on tables, its called getting old.

Can you always finish a game of Ten Ball with a combination shot? I thought that was the hard thing about the game, was that you couldn't finish the game early. Or does it just depend on tournaments etc.? If that is the case, what happens if you purposefully hit a combination on the ten? Does the ten ball get re-spotted in that instance? And if it does get re-spotted, can you carry on playing? Or is the shot handed back, or have you lost? So many questions! If anyone can answer I'd appreciate it coz I've read the rules and I'M STUCK lol

Efren was about 64 in this match. My pool league has many, many high rated players over 60 who have no problem steadying a cue.

Sorry BilliardsFun M, but Bill is right, Chris moved for Efren, no disrespect involved. I have met/played and beaten Chris in an exhibition match (UK 8 ball though) but he is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet, very respectful to any opponent and a true sportsman. I do know what you are referring to in league matches etc, but it's not in Mellings nature to be that petty especially to a legend like Efren :-)

Yeah Melling is a beast. His famous 8 ball run out with the masse and the 4 cushion shot that left him with that easy position on the 8 to close it out…I watch that run out at least once a week ha. I love seeing how pool has evolved from where it was back in the day to where it is now. The level that these players are playing at is just mind blowing to say the least. I’m a pretty decent player….but players like Efren, Melling, Fedor, Filler, Shaw, Ko Ping Chung, etc….other than Efren when he became known in the late 80’s, players like that didn’t really exist. They’re like robots lol

Chris got lucky, efren wasnt in his best form. U can see why he's the greatest tho after the game ends he gets up to the table and tries again that shot on the 8 that cost him the game

Efren Reyes is going to be retired it's very bad news to hear I've been enjoying pool because of his magic and now after this tour I'm not going to see him playing again I hope he'll change his mind and continue to play but everything has an end and maybe this is time for him to retire and enjoy his personal life and whatever happens I always wish him the best in this life he's been the best player I've ever seen for all this years and won most of the tournaments in the game his records define him better than anything else and I'm so looking forward to just see who's coming next thank you Efren for everything you've done to make this game beautiful and you're going to be so missed

He`s having problems with his eyes which all comes with aging,I think Efren will pick and chose more on what tournaments he plays and cut down on traveling so much,I think he can sit back and be proud of his legacy and enjoy playing cards and relaxing more.

10 ball is called shots. If you fluke a ball it is up to your opponent to shoot or make you shoot again.

steve davis has also beaten him. this reyes guy is so over rated. if he tried snooker you would soon see how rough his game is.

Go play him then..steve davis have lost as well..ask any top pool players..they will say efren is great both in and out..even the best loses..tough opponent yes but no one wins forever if you know what sports is..
