My experience as a patient is fusions wears out the other discs above and below over time. For me 10 years. It’s called ASD Adjacent Segment Disease and people might be smart to research this. I few to Barcelona Dr Clavel and had the Spinal Kinetics M6L implanted on top of that crappy old fusion that cause ASD. My disc has a center core with a playable center to act like a real disc shock absorber. Most discs in the US are hard cores. I see no reason for transferring all that energy to an Adjacent disc. This is also why Europe has been 10 years ahead of the US. The artificial disc was invented in Germany in the mid 70’s and has been the epicenter of excellence. Either the spinal Kinetics M6 or the ESP discs are my go to.

I can't do the post op from a fusion, problem is l cant find a doctor who will do a replacement.
