I trained ElevenLabs Speech Synthesis AI on voice data from the game to convert them to English. This is the result
This is a proof of concept. There is no copy of the game that has an English Dub.

Improvement is definitely needed but this is quite impressive especially hearing Erich and Fiona and how near accurate they sound. This made my day.

Wow, this is so cool!! Could you upload a second part with some mission briefings? Every mission has a narrator which differs for every fraction. So amazing.

Nah that would be a community effort! But hey, I may keep working on this. My main goal right now is to get the voice quality up as high as I can. Some of the voices in this video need more data to train on.

Yeah, surely Namco's US division didn't have nothing to do with botchering the game. Back in the day North American publishers were still wary about releasing video games with heavy anime influences because they thought they didn't have a big enough audience, also in Namco Hometek's case, they weren't in good financial standing so fully localizing a game as big as AC3 was out of the question. It's not like they didn't try, though. Early press kits still mention the original plot and even some attempt was made to translate the in-game dialogue, as recalled by professional translator Agness Kaku.

@@FGYutub Fair. Still kinda bullshit to deal with considering before friggen ePSXe, there was no quick way to get at AC3 JP, let alone with translation.
