They pretty much give the performance you'd expect from a veteran while being interviewed. Any soldier I've ever met who saw action pretty much has the same demeanor. They don't brag or get excited or really even enjoy telling the stories that much. My Uncle flew a P-38 in WW2 an all he really ever said was "Every time we saw 109s coming after us all I could do was swear nonstop." He never once mentioned any kills even though we saw a picture of his plane with the kill markings.

@@Pixelbane lol how do i not realized it man, bloody hell this game. Cipher mean Zero from arabic numeric which spelt "sifr" that also synonymous with Restart or start over from nothing. Pixy boss battle had 3 phase which as you can predict each phase require 6 missile to beat Pixy. Galm derived from Garm dog in norse myth which is associated with Hell akin to Cerberus At this point, i'm not surprised if the Zero song itself had some musical technique that had something with zero or nil connotation

I wonder if he ever survived that explosion. If he had enough time to eject our before Morgan detonated. But seeing the size of it, I’ve slowly come to accept the inevitable that he may be dead. But still, I find myself wondering if he is still alive out there somewhere. When the war came to an end, the guilt hit me like a tidal wave. The feeling of anger, bitterness, regret, and sorrow just sudden surged through my body. I still find myself asking what went wrong. What caused my wingman to change sides. Most important, I always ask why did it have to be me that shot him down? The guilt of killing him has bothered me so much I couldn’t fly anymore. I turned in my wings and went back into civilian life. However, I find myself gazing at the skies, wishing I could be back up there... With Pixy again. Who knows. May be there may be a day my services are called for again... And may be... I might be able to see Pixy again... -Cipher

ace combat zero is not only my favourite game of the series, but also one of my favourite games of all time, and i can't help but to think that this would kinda of taint the conclusion to zero, it'd be neat to have some sort of reference from radio chatter like people remembering pixy or belkans mentioning galm 1, but a full on continuation to these two seems like a squeeze, though if project aces actually does that and does it right, i'll legit wet my underwear

Galm is ragtag merc team temporarely hired by ustio tho. Unlike razgriz or mobius. we might encounter them again but it will be most likely not under cypher but rather throwaway merc team (which cypher and pixy originally intended to be) . Heck they might be one of unnamed grunt we shot in later title lol.

Japanese mediums such as video games and anime do a very good job of depicting wars and conflicts while simultaneously illustrating an anti-war message. One of the best examples of this is the Gundam franchise. If you've never consumed any Gundam media, I highly recommend it, especially if you're an Ace Combat fan. A lot of thematic elements in Ace Combat narratives are also present in many installments of the Gundam universe.

In AC Zero, the VAs got the roles switched: Johnny voiced PJ, the lawful good, while Yuri voiced Pixy, the extremist. And both Pixy and Suzaku get a reality check about their methods not working and kill Johnny's character at the end. And while Lelouch pulled off a grand self-sacrifice to establish peace, PJ is yet another casualty of war, in a wolrd that will not get better.

ok so the rusty - pixy parallels seem stronger and stronger: - first off, rusty and pixy both are on a different team than the player but refers to us as “buddy”, and also care for us. - their themes use element that’s pretty unique. for pixy, it’s that strumming guitar style, for rusty, it’s vocal lyrics - they’re both survivors of a nuclear explosion it seems. for rusty, the fires of rubicon is basically a nuke, as it left a gigantic crater and contaminated the air with the substance that it detonated on. - pixy seems to be holding a rifle for sharpshooting. idk guns, but the reason i hope that that’s the case is because rusty has experience in sharpshooting there’s gotta be more

"It seems",it seems to me that you don't know about Ace Combat Zero lore enough to even be making this comment,but the nuclear detonations here refer to the missiles that were fired several months before the incident where Pixy gets dragged to safety,and 10 years prior to this interview. 3. He's holding an AK,that has very little to do with sharpshooting,because he joined ISAF,which was fighting in the Continental War.

It's not even a meme, but the most iconic line of this game coming from your former-wingman who once fought alongside, and also against you in the end. It's the most memorable phrase for any fan of this game or this series in general.

This Wingman fought along you for many battles, against the most fearsome air force in the world (Belkan Air Force), sometimes without any kind of ground or air support, just you and him, two planes against squadrons of ace pilots. "Yo buddy, still alive?" was one of his catchphrases after surviving hellish battles like that.

The F-14 is my favorite aircraft. Maybe not as famous as the Eagle but it's gonna sneak up on them enemy jets real quiet-like and put a heat seeker in their tailpipes. My neighbor is an old F-14 pilot and he said he fought a MiG in Vietnam but it got away. He had his share of close calls and narrow escapes from SAMs. He test flew the then-new F-22 Raptor supersonic at just 10 feet above the ocean, as per orders. He strafed an enemy SAM site in Desert Storm. I keep telling him to write a book. No pilot involved in the tomcat program has ever served as a transfer pilot in the F-22. Especially not one old enough to have seen combat in vietnam. Further to that, the Tomcat has no air to ground kills from Desert Storm. Lastly, not only could no aircraft safely function at 10 feet off the surface of the ocean (consistently), no pilot would be stupid enough to try it. Either your friend is lying or you are lying... and in either case, literally nothing about this statement can be true.

@@jhousdan plus, there never was a single F-14 Tomcat used during the Vietnam war, cuz the US pulled out in 1972. Now, yes I know the Tomcat did enter service 2 years prior, but there's no record of a single Vietnamese MIG kill or engagement against one by a F-14. So that story is a load of bullshit

@@bandog3214 Dan "Turk" Pentecost was a pilot with VF-1 during their first cruise. They covered the withdrawal from Saigon during Operation "Frequent Wind" and he's shown me photos he took over South Vietnam from the cockpit of a tomcat. They were also operating under ceasefire conditions, which means they weren't allowed to shoot at anything that didn't shoot at them first. MIGs approached near the tomcats multiple times, but stayed a respectful distance away.

man i which this game was remastered, the game is brilliant but is so dated these days it's almost cheesy which is so sad, Project aces, pls remaster this game if you get a chance or your company goes downhill for some reason

@@nuclearwarhead9338 the myth existed before the goofed footage, the goofed footage only exists because of the myth. That's kind of the point anyway, even if the entire ACZ storyline, Galm 1's existence was disputed (despite us and a select few knowing he existed) and the last line of this cutscenes, of the entire game, is "whether he existed or not, when talking about him the smile on their faces may be my answer" works in two ways, his existence and actions in war made them reflect upon their memories and smile, or/ and his mythical status made them smile and feel pride in what he symbolises regardless of his legitimacy. The Ghosts of Kiev doesn't need to be real to make an impact. The smile he brings to the people of Ukraine is what's very real, and the likely origins. He is a symbol to the freedom of Ukraine, symbols of war go back millennia.

Zero was honestly the best of the ace combat series, IDGAF if your princess waifu was in skies unknown,she's prolly good for nothing and only there so that weebs can buy bullshit body pillows of her. It had amazing characters,byotiful soundtrack,and prolly the most amazing story. I wish Japanese game devs made more stuff like this than jumping on the anime bandwagon
