Summer of 1995, Varna, Bulgaria. This whole album was played everyday, non-stop. We were the children of the 90s, playing outside all summer long: no alcohol, no drugs, just genuine teenage friendship.

True. It's a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Ok so I got this album on cassette for my 6th birthday (born in 88) and played the entire album over and over daily. Everyone knows the popular songs but I haven't heard this song in 24 years and I swear on everything I just got goosebumps when it came on. It really hit a nerve just now. Crazy how things from our childhood can sneak up on us and open up a whole shit ton of emotions.

I had this cassette since 1995, there were a few fave musical groups from my past that I somewhat abandoned and had to rediscover in adulthood (SWV, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony etc)... but Ace of Base were integral in broadening my tastes beyond RnB and rap and because of that unique position they've always been a consistent part of my musical rolodex.

@@alikgevorgyan Неа. Тогда были очень вкусные моему слуху передачи типа "Живаго" или "Живые песни". Но, после того как канал купил Игорёша Крутой. всё покатилось в грёбаную днину. Попсня любого дерьмоформата. Даже сворованный персонаж Масяни у Олега Куваева не помог.Кстати озвучивал тогда ещё никому не известный Паша Воля. Сейчас это просто бал сатаны.

Ace Of Base is superband from Sweden, like Abba, Roxette and Europe. This song and video is really very beautiful, I love girl's vocal in beginning. The 90's will never die!

Or 80's, Me and my gf were in Gothenburg for a holiday for a week came back late last night from UK here Been to many parts of Sweden since a kid in the mid 80's to Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo, Uppsala, + Västerås

I forget sometimes that this is from the early 90s! Ace of Base was soo ahead of their time. Even some modern day music can't even catch up to what is shown here.
