I’ve got the Manker MK37 on order, SBT90.2 with TIR Lens. I’m very interested to see the range and beam profile for this light. Will compare this directly to the K30GT.

I believe there are reasons or factors om why the k30GT only throws 1Kilometer. Let's consider comparing the K30gt sbt90.2 and the ft03s sbt90.2. First, the driver plays a big part on why k30gt has a higher lumen output than the ft03s. But why is the throw on the ft03s farther? Probably it is because of the reflectors dimensions. The depth, smoothness and the diameter of the opening. The overall dimensions of the ft03s reflector made the beam bent towards the middle which made it more focus or throw farther. Another perspective is by comparing the k65gt to k75, the lumen outputs are almost the same, but ofcourse with the help of that big reflector on the k75 it was able to utilize the power of sbt90 led which led to a 2.ish kilometer throw. And ofcourse the reflector. I believe if a company chooses the right TIR lens to throw far, sbt90.2 + TIR lens would be phenomenal IF the driver can push the sbt90.2 to its max output then its a perfect combination.

@@phornadams8196 Manker mk37 II rated 5800 lumens 935 meters of throw. This is a good comparison subject for k30gt. Obviously this mk37 seems to be smaller but has multiple battery too. And that will be it's main selling point aside from the gorgeous beam profile.

MK37 is like the sp36 with a sbt90.2 and TIR lens in it. Now i want one too.

I get your point brother. 🙂 That is probably why we, the collectors can't stay in just one flashlight. Because there are some other brand and models with those features we like. The ideal beam profile is a combination of flood with fair throw. You should check either the imalent ms06 or imalent r60c too. But for budget brands There are Astrolux which can do the job. One example is the Astrolux MF01S. Thats a 15-18,000 lumen flooder with good throw. At a budget price.

Yeah man the k30gt suits long outdoor activities that requires good throw. I have the Lumintop X9L in my bag everyday. You might want to try the X9L if you want a good beam profile in an easy to carry package. IF they can install the k30gt on the body of the L19 which is a single 21700 host. That will be perfect. I want to see the effect if a SBT90 flashlight uses a TIR lens. Thats what companies are reserving for their future releases.

@@LumenVaultReviews I also considered the Lumintop but went with Wurkkos TS30S. Pretty nice nice size compared to my Astrolux FT03S with a more usable beam profile and at least 800m range. Thanks for this great review.

@@DrNJPhotography TS30S dimensions are close to the astrolux ec03 but with a bit smaller head diameter. I have a TS30 sst40 review incoming. And once i got the ts30S i will compare it to X9L and TS30. You are correct. With that big diameter of the head and reflector of the ts30s it will surely be a good usable beam for all situations. Even the sst40 version does a good job. And the size probably makes it better on heat handling compare to X9L which is smaller and has a thinner body. But ofcourse on this matter everything is subjective to the buyer. I wanted an sbt90 light to be pocketable and more small so i went to X9L.

Yikes..I’ve got the BLF GT94 coming next week lol. I got the K30GT cause it was a small light with decent runtimes with 3x18650 batteries. I have to agree with our reviewer, if you’re looking for a small SBT90.2 light, the Lumintop X9L is awesome. It’s my EDC light I take everywhere, wider beam than the K30GT but still throws well.

@@phornadams8196 thanks man! well i have to say that's a really badass flashlight. Gt94 is one of my prospect purchase anytime soon. I would rather get the gt94 than the mf05. Im just not a big fan of super thin beams. And its really big. haha. Dont get me wrong mf05 throws really far, but practically speaking, IMO i would rather spend much for a gt94 with an obviously good beam profile than the mf05.

Haha true i felt that too. Theres a lot of space for them to add a few more designs on the body. maybe that body knurling from the L19 will make it look better. 🔥

I agree with you mate the ft03s throws really better than this. i have to repurchase that again to compare with the L19 and k30gt. Plus the anduril is a more flexible UI for enthusiasts like us.
