This mission was heaven for me i felt like a kid in a candy store it reminds me of AC4 and AC5 where i destroy a huge Erusean Army formation in a desert and blowing up a huge armory in Southeastern Yuktobania

Sure. Except that those two mission actually gave you plenty of time to meet the score limit rather than having to rely on a new gimmick project aces put in to barely make the score in time.

@@OFJehutyV2 What are you on about? What new gimmick are you talking about? And my first time through this I used the F-2A and LASM and had about 5 or 3 minutes to spare after getting the required points and just started taking out the bigger platform for fun.

it is not only that the ships withstand more damage...they also defend themselves... I saw plenty of missiles getting shot down by CIWS.

The Annihilation missions so far are pretty fun, not too boring. We've got firework bonanza, platform chop down, and standard "be a decoy" Roca Roja mission. That last one is actually the most generic, but it's kinda fun since we get to know more the con bois.

Snider's Top was also in AC3D. Scarface 1 engaged Albireo Squadron (from Erusea) and the coup de'tat naval force in that area, including multiple XB-10s utilised as Air-to-Air defence.

On one of my later playthroughs I realized that Trigger can be the one to destroy the first platform support and the dialogues change a bit with Wiseman, Long Caster getting super enthusiastic. LACMs of the Rafale or gripen make very shortwork of the platforms and the enemy fleet. They have the longest range among anti-ground missile and a tremendous AOE. Destroying the enemy carrier at long range automatically bags you several SU-33 kills before they even launch.

@@albinorhino6 Yeah. SU-33 Ibis. Damn coward really guns it in afterburners to escape the map. His missiles are crazily persistent. Makes me suspect he has QAAMs even though the SU-33 is not supposed to have it.

Well, irl it's unnecessary because the ski ramp gonna send anything running on it upward as long as they don't lower their thrust and fall down into the water due to lacking of lift including turboprop planes. If my memory served British carriers also doesn't have catapult because they were built with ski ramp but in Russian's case the only things that run up the ramp are either MiG-29K or Su-33. So in short, it just waste of resource. Beside, catapult is a huge system, if you want one on your ski ramp carrier it gonna need a huge work or build a new one with it.

Man this looks like fun wrecking all those platforms. I went after the fleet first and only got time left to core one platform. Gonna replay this with a warthog for sure.

I know I’m late but try the Rafale-M. I’ve gotten to the point where I sink the fleet and destroy both platforms in their entirety before time runs out. Plus time to down some fighters. I average 45,000+ points against a 28k goal (on hard)

A lot of people talking about using planes that have LASMs, and lots of people talking about wanting to use the A-10 for this mission. Both of those are solid options, but IMO, outside of endgame planes with laser weapons, the best plane/weapon combo for this mission is the F-15E Strike Eagle with the SFFS cluster bombs. The SFFS is like a UGB with a larger blast radius. I’ve never seen a target survive a hit from an SFFS, so blast Power is not an issue. The F-15E is just a flat out better plane than the A-10. Much Faster, way better dog fighter, and carries more missiles. I get people wanting to use the A-10 because of sentimental value...but anyone struggling with this mission (or mission 6, or mission 8), give the F-15E a try, you won’t be disappointed. Plus the Strike Eagle isn’t on a dead end path in the aircraft tree - buying the Eagles helps you unlock more aircraft. I suppose the Su-34 Fullback would work just the same, but I fly in cockpit view, and personally I really don’t like the view out of the Su-34 cockpit.

How to pass this mission 1. Get F-15C 2. buy PLSL 3. aim at core 4. use your gun when in gun range for extra damage enjoy :)

This mission gave me hell, probably for being so new, eventually found success with 4AGM on the A-10C of all combos.. Looking at ACF I was playing too defensively and carefully

LASM is the best option here... I used the Su-33 and the F/A-18F, they work very well here, I'll try the Su-34 once(that's the only attacker I have)

@TV-94 if that's the case, I'd rather take a warthog into this mission than the Hornet. Warthog's slower speed should make it easier to negotiate those tight spaces inside the rig.

This mission is so difficult, basically you are alone against tons of plane that shoot only at you with only 15 minutes to destroy everything or is only me?

@@alexandercummins I done it, try destroy everything in the first platform and then go to the fleet (where there is the aircraft carrier), I done it with this strategy and it worked pretty well

Destroy the cores of the platforms as fast as you can and use an air to ship middle on the aircraft carrier and the other ships

but in all seriousness, I went for the capital ships/artificial island first, did some damage, then went across the return line with ~5 minutes left, came back, and spent my 5 minutes dismantling platforms in the valley

Beat the mission and failed right after the one dude tells count to chill out n do his thing, he'll watch his back. Ig I flew outside the combat zone xD unfortunate but now atleast I know what to expect from the operation

This game would have REALLY benefited from the bore sight targeting feature in Ace Combat Zero. The target selection is the absolute worse I’ve experienced in any AC game. The other games were pretty decent at selecting targets in your field of vision. This one sucks.

The time limit is kinda alright on these score attack levels. But I find it outdated design for the rest of the missions at this point. Their objectives and design are enough without a timer.

you just need to destroy the core the fallen debris will deal with anything underneath the platform.

I hate this mission, I kill everything by the platform with one missile left, guy on the comms say mission successful. I fly toward refuel and then I get there mission failed prompt... wtf. And there are no check points the whole time. I have to do the whole thing over.

SHIPs is not HARD lol here... IT just in this game Ace Combat 7 all the MISSILE CAN BE DESTROY BY GUN and YOU MISSILE ARE DESTROY BY THEIR AA GUN so it a no hits...
