the 12th gen CPU's support up to 64GB of RAM. Is it possible to use one or two 32GB sticks in this notebook?

Acer tech support told me the maximum per module was 16GB. full max in total 16GB. I asked them several times and they all said the same thing. I decided to install two 16 GB modules and it works perfectly. 12th gen Intel CPU is my model. Don't know if 64 will be ok, bit maybe you can order and try as I did, and in case is not working, return RAM modules back.

No. Looks like you can only put nvme drives.

I have this Acer Aspire 5 A515-57-77XE i7 1260P and I can't for the life of me find any downloads that are TOOLS or something to do with the BIOS that will fix the TPM part of the bios that says its not ON and it's missing. Probably whats causing ALL options on any screen in the BIOS to not work, all are grayed out and unable to function.

I appreciate the video, but this model might be the most finnicky Acer laptop that I've pried open. The sides and the hinge are easy to be pried open without causing damage, which is good. However, the latches at the battery area are harder to pry if your prying tool has a shorter edge. A combination of small and large latches in that area also doesn't help. Damaged the small latches on mine as it was very deep for my prying tools to detach it although the large latches detach effortlessly without going as deep. Fortunately the large latches holds the back cover without any visible gap and the screws also helps to secure it further. It also made prying it again as effortless as 0:12 which made me wonder if this is intentional by Acer to refuse warranty due to tampering.

Yeah I just took the back off my A515-47 and it was excruciating. I wound up breaking one of the tabs despite having the proper tool and taking my time.

@@The4No the video isn't misleading at all. everything does snap out as effortlessly as the video. as for 0:12 case, it does open like that when you ripped the small latches apart during the first attempt but you could get the same result if your prying tool can get deep enough. in short, you can pry it without causing damage if you are not using shoddy tools like mine and have the skills

I HAVE A NEW A515-57-53T2 ASPIRE 5 LAPTOP WITH A WD PC SN530 NVME SSD AND I JUST INSTALLED A SAMSUNG 860 EVO SATA M.2 SSD IN THE 2ND SLOT AND IT IS NOT SHOWING UP. WILL THE ACER LAPTOP RECOGNIZE THE EVO 860 AND IF NOT WHAT SSD WILL. THANKS, MIKE

Hi! Sounds like you'll need to format your drive. You can do this in disk manager. There are plenty of videos on KZfaq about it 😊

@@thetworedheadsandhim IT IS MY OLD SSD FROM MY OLD COMPUTER WITH MY WINDOWS 10 AND i JUST WANT IT ACCESSABLE UNTIL i'M CONFIDENT THE NEW WIN 11 IS GOOD AND MAYBE JUST KEEP IT THEM FOR REFERENCE, SORRY FOR THE CAPS. What I wanted to know is if the SAMSUNG 860 EVO SATA M.2 SSD will enven work/be seen in the new computer. Thanks, Mike

Same design yes. But the A515-47 second SSD slot is a gen 3 not a gen 4.

does acer aspire 5 12th gen intel core i5-1240p processor gaming laptop has integrated graphics like itel UHD along with dedicated graphic so that dedicated graphic can be disabled for non-gaming use for saving battery. Also pleasecomment on battery life like how long the battery last for normal non-gmaing use with 50% brithness.

pretty sure with brigness being low as possible it can go for like +8 hrs as my graphics card is always in use and well without power it runs for 4 hrs mim but i am sure if i switch to the integrated one it can extended a lot and also it does come with a power saving mode

fake opening the closure. It was allready opened. In reality, it is harder to open the edge at the bottom, because it is not like the other 3 edges. Who did the operation, knows what I am saying
