Great stuff and also applies to F17 model - BEWARE though - the one taken apart doesn't have a hard drive. Note that when the case is open the hard drive is only kept in place by its connector!!! Be very careful or remove it. If you turn the case over it puts bending stress on the HD connector. When you put it back together (certainly on the F17) the case has to first fully engage with the fan side. PS - a noisy fan might be due to a poorly stuck inspection ticket above the fan
