I did everything exactly the same, but the usb drive was not defined in the bios. The drive is not even in the list of devices if in EFI Shell execute "devices".

@@LukaBEET I replaced the USB drive with another one and it worked. It is possible that my previous USB drive does not support the full USB 3.0 specification, since even after installing the operating system, this device not displayed in the device manager.

Hey...how you get the advanced menu? I have an acer with bios insyde rev 5.0 and the system bios is 1.15 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Try setting a password for the bios. He will come up after that.

meu caro , verifica se consegue me ajudar , comprei o aspire 5 i7 tem 3 dias recebi com linux laguta , obvio na ideia de tirar e por o win11 , liguei pus usuário com muita dificuldade uma letra e 3 números iguais por que o teclado não aparecia o abnt2 , ficou tarde dei so uma olhada desliguei larguei pra la guardei , no dia seguinte fui ligar apareceu uma opção de restaurar , pensei vou restaurar voltar e começar de novo fazer um pendrive de inicialização pra minha surpresa quando voltou nao saia da logo da acer , pensei bom vou tirar logo isso e por logo o 11 , mas ai é que tá o problema aqui a bios é a insyde h20 versão 1.28 a maquina é aspire 5 A515-56 11°geração , e ja assisti uns 10 tutoriais, ja deixei umas mil perguntas ninguem responde nada , ja fiz de tudo e a usb nao aparece , observe o detalhe na minha bios nao aparece a função sata mode , ctrl+s nao adianta de nada , ja rodei tudo isso nao existe aqui vou acabar antes que meu prazo esgote pedindo troca por desistencia do produto temos como resolver isso ?

Hy! Use the rufus program. Create uefi pendrive with gpt drive! If you ready, put in the machine and show the new boot device! Good Luck!

It has nothing to do with the BIOS version.... It is this silly new UEFI bios that Acer is installing on their machines. They have an enhanced BIOS feature through their default Windows 7 image..... I had the EXACT same issue as posted, here is the solution to make your drive bootable options in the boot menu- 1.Completely shut down your computer. 2.Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press Delete to enter the BIOS. 3.Use the right arrow key to select Authentication. 4.With Secure Boot highlighted, press Enter and then the down arrow to select Disabled. 5.Use the right arrow key to select Boot Options. 6.With Launch CSM highlighted, press Enter and use the down arrow to select Always. 7.Press Enter. 8.Press the F10 key to save changes and restart the system

@@TTInformatika You never changed it to Legacy, you kept the Boot Mode on UEFI. I am not trying to reinstall Windows or boot from a USB Stick.
