Acer palmatum ukigumo just started to leaf out I keep it in the shade so hopefully the leaves stay more white.

Thanks Matt it’s a great looking tree I keep it in the shade all the time so the leaves stay white if you put it in the sun the leaves go green and also don’t feed this acer. Hope you find one Matt for your collection stevie

Very nice! I’ve found with mine that the whiteness of the leaves and amount of spots varies with the years! Great collection!

It’s a gorgeous tree if you keep it in the shade if you put it in the sun it goes green that’s what a lot of people get wrong thanks for watching 👍

My 'Ukigumo' is 11 year old and doesn't look nearly as good as yours with the white. Also, the leaf lobes on mine are wider and slightly wavy. Your lobes look thinner (at the moment) and similar to 'peve starfish' or something. Sometimes I wonder if there is more than 1 variation 'Ukigumo' out there with different traits. Yours is best.
