Trust me on this. I have spent like a week on internet researching for a better laptop which also gives me 120Hz refresh rate, but no. There is nothing out there that can beat the Predator helios 300 in terms of price to performance ratio.

I am currently using the lenovo y720 that is the exact same price. It has a thunderbolt 3 port and I should be able to connect a 144hz monitor with gsync. Hopefully it works.

Hi I just seen the 144hz screen version of this predator helios 300 for £500 selling in a pawn shop but it's 4 years old now. Not sure if it's a good deal cause the gpu might stop working soon after 4 years use what you reckon?

The display quality is great for a 60Hz IPS. I've had better speakers on a laptop but I don't really use laptop speakers. I use headphones. 1080p is fine for this size.

I bought this laptop in 2017 and I'm still using it to this day. This laptop is still a beast and runs games on high-ultra settings at 1080p 60fps with no problems.

Mateen Javad try the 17'3 inch version this one has 69% Gama and the 17'3 inch one has 96% Gama and that one comes with 1tb HDD plus 256 add but the problem is it has is it is fully plastic

I have one of these. You have to keep the screen on full brightness because it's not very bright. I'm getting around 4-5 hrs just doing web browsing and school work. During games, when the fan is set at auto with coolboost on, it gets to around 75-78 celsius on both CPU and GPU. No throttling. You can set the fan to max, but it just gets noisy and not much cooler. With gaming, expect it to run 1hr maybe, probably less. I normally game plugged in because of the way I set up the power profiles.

Ah shiet, I forgot to add that info in. Editing video on High Performance Power Profile was just barely an hour. Web Browsing for me was about 4 hours but that is because I run my screen at full brightness. My cpu and gpu was hitting around 70 Celsius while exporting video or gaming. I did not test how long I could game on battery but my guess would be that it's not more than what I got for editing. Thanks for the comment and I'll be sure to add this info on the next review!

Yeah, I get about the same too. I think the battery is where they skimped out, but then again you can't expect a gaming laptop to last that long. I also found the screen is only good for indoor use, but it is still pretty good. Love your videos Johnny. Can't believe you replied omg.
