Very good review and detailed description. My only concern is the eye strain or headaches it may cause compared to a flicker-free IPS. I have read stories of people who cannot stand that little and fast flickering of OLED monitors. On the other hand, no one evaluates or even mentions the power consumption or efficiency between IPS and OLED monitors. This one is actually a 26.5" panel. To me 27" is the perfect size and the next real upgrade would be a 240Hz 4K OLED monitor 27" (which LG plans to develop in 2025), and only when they become affordable. Taking advantage of the discount, I pulled the trigger on this monitor and I hope to receive it soon.

Pulled the trigger! Couldn't resist. Right now at $599 its worth the small differences vs the LG, Asus, and corsair versions all at $899 or more.

Hi great review, subbed. I have this and also XV242F which is a 1080p 540Hz TN, just like you said, Motin clarity is about the same. Only if you enable BFI in XV242F that will bring you to another level and beats 240Hz OLED, but 2K downgrade to 1080p you know, win some and lose some. I am looking forward to upcoming Samsung 2K 360hz QD OLED, that will be the endgame monitor for competitive gaming I think.

@@Decki777 it's called VRB(Visual Response Boost), Nvidia ulmb2, Zowie DyAC+, Acer VRB whatever called is basically BFI( Black Frame Insertion)

How come Monitors Unboxed didn't record any substantial input lag at 60hz but you and Rtings did?

Perhaps they did not measure at 60hz, or (less likely) had a different firmware version

Meanwhile in Canada the 45” oled panel is 1299$ but downfall is Acer doesn’t have burn in protection on there monitors

Great video ,one question in the next month i eant to change all Pc components plus my monitor,for main gaming online shooter games like finals, i want to combine rtx4090 or the super 4080(we will see the performance) with amd 5800x3d. Is this monitor food option to buy? Because of the burn issues if you make high the brightness. Or i will go for ips panel like the most of the streamers use? Thanks in advanced.

It will certainly offer far better performance for competitive games than any IPS, so in our opinion it is worth it. You can use lower brightness for everyday use, and go HDR when you want things to "pop", so burn-in should not be a problem.

A slight downgrade, but whether you'll notice it depends on how important its flaws compared to LG are to you.

It’s a better looking design. Doesn’t have a weird notch at the bottom like the LG one or the ROG display.
