What it took is for CC to use her platform and people listened. With CC its never me its we and the great woman players around the league. By the way Clark had paid for the tickets for her teammates to come to the draft and convinced SNL to bring them on stage. But the biggest thing she did was actually selfish of her. She begged Kate Martin to return for a 5th season in Iowa, Kate had quit but CC convinced her to come back and now Kate is in the WNBA. If CC never asked her to come back, Kate Martin would have never gone to the WNBA.

My daughter played volleyball with Kiah Stokes in High school when they were freshman, until the head basketball coach walked into the gym and pulled her to play varsity basketball. Glad to see she is still playing. I remember watching her dad play basketball when he was in college.

This is absolutely Awesome! Iam a brand new fan to the WNBA , Born and raised in Iowa, so I’m a Hawkeye that Is a huge fan of Caitlin, but I love all the players, and Women’s Basketball now so much! I’m also a New Indiana Fever Fan. I can’t believe how excited Iam for all of this. I have never been so excited about a sport in my entire life and I have always loved sports. In a year for me, that has been a bit challenging with a few ups and downs that we all deal with, The WNBA, all of these great players and Womens Basketball Has been the one bright spot That is helping me keep my focus on something really promising and exciting instead of focusing on problems In our country and around the world

The WNBA is age wise going through the same things that the NBA did at roughly the same age. No chartered flights for the NBA until about 35 years after the league began. Most of the league losing money except for a few teams. Image problems, etc. The WNBA will get through their issues if the old guard can either retire or adapt to the changes coming now and the next few years. If not, it will continue to be a "supplemental league" existing only because of NBA funding.

Say thanks to CC. The media continues to push Angel Reese as a super star even though she wasn’t even the first pick by Chicago. She scored 13 points in last nights game but two of her teammates scored 19 & 20 points and all you read about is Reese. AR will not be a dominant player for Chicago.

As soon as CC dropped 21 in that preseason game looking like her normal self removing any doubt the new W tv contract tripled or quadruple. So, that’s means the W players will double or triple their pay come next year after they negotiate a new CBA knowing all this money is coming in now. The NBA made that call to the W commissioner and said get her the hell on private flights. Thats our new MJ CC new nickname should be Money Making Clark 😂 Most fans just don’t realize Pro Sports make their money from their tv contracts not tickets sales & merchandise that’s just icing. There are definitely fans right now who are a bit obsessive (there is a difference between passionate fan and obsessive fan - passion is healthy obsession is dangerous) who if something happened that they didn’t like would 100% harass the players involved or worse if given opportunity. I knew this was coming this season. I just assumed the league might let another incident like what happened with BG last year happen first.

I thought about that too but i wanna set aside the Swoops, the Taurasi all the ones with the nasty attitude and focus on the good players with the talent and the right attitude. i have to say, the Storm and the Sparka game in Canada was LIT. Yes, CC and the Hawkeyes are my gateway, but I think there are a lot of like minded good hearts like CC in the league and I believe CC went to the WNBA because she sees these good hearts and talented players so Good on her!!!!

Her and team beat SC to give them their only loss in 2 seasons, knocked defending LSu out of playoffs, stopping their repeat championship. Losing 2 championships went #1 in draft, selling out jerseys, arenas, $28 million dollar Nike deal and oh yeah now thanks to Caitlin teams have charter flights. So you say she hasn't done nothing, what has those that won championships done for the Wnba, absolutely nothing.
