Just a fun song. Always put a smile on my face. One of the many sounds of the 80s.

None of us thought there was anything "deep" about this song at the time - it's just hella danceable.

Don't worry about laughing. Lots of us did too. I called it the dog food song because it reminded me of a dog food commercial of the time. Woof!🐕

PInk Floyd's Comfortably Numb Live, Dire Straits' Sultans of Swing Live (Alchemy tour), Jamiroquai's Main Vein Live in Verona and Rush's YYZ live in Rio. All amazing vids to react to. Cheers!

The singer and Eileen were childhood friends, but now that they've grown up he's interested in more than friendship. It isn't about much more than that. Just amazing sound and so fun.

This was a throwback to a 60's, hippie type, mindset in England. There was a great depression in post war UK, and the younger generation, who did not have first hand experiences of the horrors of war, was encouraging everyone to look at the bright siden and start new

It’s catchy and easy dance too. That’s it ! There was a lot of unusual fashion, unlike now when men dress like 12 years old boys forever , but it was quick . Don’t get caught up on needing to watch music- feel it hear it Dance ☮️

Actually, he didn’t intend for that to be a thing. He even once said in a radio interview back in ‘83, “As far as I know, there’s no such thing as ‘Celtic Soul’, and I didn’t intend for that to ever be a thing”.

You said you mostly do live performances, meh too many reactors do that and they think its great. I'm not a fan of live when I can actually listen to the superior studio version. For me, and I'm sure for others, it's more about the nostalgia and studio quality of the song and the song itself that we remember along with the nostalgia of the music videos (which is a big thing for alot of us). I only clicked this one because it was the studio/video version of a song I like.
