Hi! I put the cords along the back with the ties, so they are completely hidden. You can plug them into a power strip, then plug the power strip onto a timer.

Lovely, do you have the same shelf? I found that there was limited space when I put the lights in that orientation to move the cables around to much. I would love to see your set up. Please pop it on Facebook if you can.

I have that shelf, or something identical but, with black light casings, black electrical cords and it came with shelf liners. And I totally agree about the instructions.

Nice setup. I'm not a huge fan of the Barina lights, they're way to blinding for my small space. However, I truly enjoy my Mother and Soltech lights. For some reason, they're not as blinding and my plants grow just fine.

That is really interesting. I have both the Mother and Soltech. I find them to be similar in brightness, but maybe my bigger space helps with that perception.

I have 3 sets of 6 two-foot lights (18 in all) hanging from wire shelves in one of my closets. The power cords with the on/off switch is handy when I want to switch individual sets. At the moment only 3 of my shelves are lighted, but when I do seed starting there are times they are all going. The Barina lights have performed beautifully for more than 2 years. All are on times, so fuss free. BTW I thought the instructions were quite good.

Lucky you! As you can see, I struggled through this. I deliberately did not watch any videos because I wanted my innate clumsiness and cluelessness to shine, and it did not disappoint!😁

Hi, Sis. I knew when I saw how you had did it that you'd be changing the order of the lights. Good look though. Plants will be happy.

My setup is pretty similar to yours, and yes, I had a problem too with daisy chaining the light to one power source because the connector cable was too short. In the end I did need to order a separate 100 cm connector cables from Amazon. I connect them through the side of the shelves since I arrange it on the long side, but I think you can try and do it near the wall since you did do it on the shorter side. A bit of a hassle, but, it gives me so much peace of mind when it was done!

What if you put the connectors at the front of your shelf to run along the front edge of each shelf hiding the wire? Then the power cables at the back? I have a similar shelf to yours and I don't like the wires running all over either. :) I love your idea of the plastic sheets. I have old silicone baking mats that I use on my shelves for that purpose. Thank you for being you!

yes you can fully daisy-chain the lights, if the layout and length of leads allows. i suggest using strips of velcro to get the entire layout setup, before securing long term with appropriate fasteners, and then remove the temporary velcro strips. i'm not sure that 5 watts per light strip is going to be enough light. time will tell. i use two led growlights over my large seed tray (for starting veggie/flower seeds) and each light is 100 watts. there are published numbers for approximate lumens/ppf for plants. i know that monstera loves loads of light

Thank you for that suggestion. I agree about the amount of light, and as I said in the video, it is one thing to look pretty, but how will the plants grow? Only time will tell.

Oh now I see. My barrina is same shelf with lights and everything included. Tip: if you put the twist ties on backwards, for me, smooth side up, you can lower the lights or move them. It won't lock and be permanent. I love that shelf! But I like the direction you chose for your lights. Hmmm...I may change mine. My twist tie will slide back out and redo. It came with velcro for the cords and you can't even see them. I wish I could take a pic. Me being in USA, does that make a difference in product?

I do not like cables. I would try to hide them. You have five connectors, so yes, you can connect all the lights and use only one electric cord if the connector cable is long enough to reach one of the lights on the next shelve. I would connect them in the back because your shelve is like 12 inches deep so it is easy for you to reach the on and off button even if it is in the back and you don't need to have access to all the on and off buttons, only one, the one that is in the electric cable. Hanging cables may have a good use of a plastic tie, also if you get the lights connected you can add the electric cable at a lower level. They send plenty of cables in case people are setting them far apart. At this point I would turn the shelves around and remove only the extra electric cables if the connectors are long enough as a said before, that way you only have to rearrange the plants Your plants are gorgeous. A positive thing about lacking instructions, it triggers imagination and creativity. Thanks for sharing.

I love your feedback thank you. The reason I could not use all the connectors is because they are too short!!! I think I will take all the feedback you lovely people have provided and make another video trying out all the methods suggested 😀
