We have Wapda, Nepra, NTDC, Purchasing Power Company, Then we have lesco, qesco, pesco and God knows how many companies responsible for distribution of power to end consumer. I am sure we must have renewable energy commission of some sort as well. Then we shall also have atomic energy commission. All departments serve in same area. I am sure Soo many departments were made so that MDs', DGs' and separate boards could be made for all these areas. If all these portfolios would come under single umbrella policy maker would have clear idea how much resources to put on for each area, what projects to prioritize and policy making regarding power sector won't then be such a nightmare. I don't understand why these experts don't shed some light on this????

Everyone is trying to air stuff which required raw material for energy production. Why we do not consider wind energy to meet our domestic and industrial needs. And for that matter, why we do not make policies and procedures for implementation. Pakistan have capacity to produce 350000 mw through wind, and if we shift from hydrocarbons to wind energy, we will be able to even encounter our environmental crisis as well. Further, initially if we use electric vehicles for public transport and electric cookers for cooking purposes. it will save our more then 20 billion dollars a year. I think we need to consider one area and put resources and mind on that instead of considering each and every aspect of the crisis. In addition to this, we need to eliminate IPPs, through golden handshake phenomenon or through any other mean, for the greater good of the country and nation.

Bad decisions has lead us to this situation. Anyone performing is thieve and who do nothing mean not taking timely decisions is honest. We ignored indigenous resource and HYDEL is only fiefdom of WAPDA who has only interest is to award contracts. Solar which can be contributed by household themselves are being inducted by government by dollar based solar. Focus need to be put on economic growth to utilise energy but sooner economy take off energy deficit will be there. Economic failure is energy failure.

Only Iran energy model can solve the Pakistan energy crisis. All energy sectors should be nationalised and bring reforms into the sectors right person for right job. We need to learn from Iran.

"Need for privatization." Everybody knows the golden words and golden sentiments. Golden phrases thrown at the patient on a ventilator. The patient is a borrower. The borrower survives because of the bailouts. The borrower is blessed with fine taste. He drives fine imported cars, from B.M.W to large S.U.Vs. He demands state-of-the art fighter jets and high-tech crew to maintain more than 200 nuclear weapons. How to keep up with fine taste? By exporting cotton underwear and diaper and towel? On the top, the pygmies in uniform run political puppet shows. Like fake wrestling in the United States, the puppet shows command a receptive audience. Currently the DULL is arriving from London to start a new Act. The DIM is in prison. Who are these half-educated deadbeats talking about the economy? Economy of a chronic borrower. Have they lost their minds?

Less than 1% Pakistanis understand English language why not talk in Hindi language your original language, only talk from the founding of Pakistan and no action, waste of time and money especially when 60% people are below poverty line.
