You know it’s very hard for sports analyst to be blunt, candid, and realistic. I am personally a candid person and trust folks that have candor. Do ppl want Herbert to have immunity from being criticized his whole career? I’ve seen QBs who look and play like Lamar Jackson receive more scrutiny overall from the media than losing a playoff game as a first year starter than I’ve seen Herbert receive his whole career despite being a QB entering year 4 with a career losing record and only 1 playoff appearance. Sure the talent for Herbert is there but the way he’s been called elite in his career despite not having anything close to an elite resume been the greatest example of privilege I’ve ever seen. He’s been called tier 1 more often than a Lamar Jackson before this season which is wild. Well if he’s truly that guy he should be expected to have same or better results going forward since he’s got his own Harbaugh.
