Lorn is one of my favorite artists that's flying under the radar. Acid Rain is amazing, but my personal favorite is Anvil. Lorn's production is so intricate. It's really interesting to just sit back and listen to all of the progression in each song.

The idea of the film clip is that the characters died in a car crash. But in (some) Native American traditions, death can't take you until you stop dancing. And that's why the girls are dancing. There's a lot of symbology in the clip, the native american statue, the empty diner, the lack of hands on the clocks.

There is a legend that when you die, you get to do one last dance to represent your life. That is what I heard the video represented. Lorn has so many really great songs.

Funny you mention it, I'm pretty sure my daughter was conceived listening to Lorn. Maybe not this song but very likely it was one of his others. Highly recommend checking out some of his other work.

When you been through so much already death is a mere formality...this song just becomes a beautiful memento...nothing sad about it, if you going out on your shield...you've given your all already and greet death with a smile. I just love it

They are dancing because that’s what they do. The first dancer thinks she survived and she’s just walking around, finding her mates. Her mates though, they seem to know. And after the final dance, the first dancer has now a huge blood stain in her stomach. She holds there because she’s in pain. And that’s when she realizes she didn’t make it.

I highly recommend Lorn's "anvil" video. It is totally different. Very spacy and very intimate if you think about mortality. It's very very good, even for a casual viewer or listener. It hits so hard for everyone I've shown it to.

It is a dance song. Rather, it could be. It's more of a trip song for me personally. What's going on in the video is that all the people are dead and they have to give one last dance to their deity before they die to appease the deity. That's my understanding of the video. If you look into it there's a lot of stuff to do with certain traditions that lead one to think or realize that this is what is actually going on. It's like watching a ghost performance.
