He didn't touch needle tip and he did prep the skin. Probe was far away from injection site. No need for sterile technique any more than you need sterile technique for an IM injection of local.

@irgilligan yeah... like i said, you can do full on sterile technique for all your blocks if you want as you would a spinal or a neuraxial block. Also, for catheters, I go sterile technique like a central line or neuraxial block. For a single shot peripheral nerve block, low level aseptic technique is not associated with infections.

​@@alvaroalfaro9478 We don't do full sterile technique like central line. We just do quite a bit of research and follow the evidence... Don't try to cite things that sound like evidence when you haven't read the text. Care to commend on probe cover usage?
