I never wanted my villagers to move away because I love them all so much, but it does make me feel bad I don’t let them go because they want to do something different. Although they’re still okay with staying without too much hard feelings.

In New Leaf I would always write a heartfelt letter to a villager after they thought about leaving, just trying to help them feel loved and appreciated. I guess my empathy dropped off a bit in New Horizons...

This is so cute! I remember when I was playing New Leaf on 3DS, I made a rule for myself that if any villager asked to leave, I'd let them. I was fine until my favorite villager Nan moved away. I was so distraught by her moving away that I actually had a dream about seeing her. This video gives me bittersweet feelings, reminding me of friends long past, but I'm happy that they're out there, living their best lives. :')

For some reason i made up a leaving permit on my island, based on the hobbies or industrial work, example:del wants to be a firefighter, he is not allowed to leave until a new one appears, if the villager would have different passion job, he could leave, it just depends on these hobbies.

Sometimes you gotta let them go. I recently let go of chow one of my old villagers so he can explore the world.

Man, what an animation, artstyle and improvement, but a bit sadder of forcing you to leave your villager. It just hits me so bad. And looking at the comments on how they miss their beloved one just tears me up.

I remember having chevre as my villager Fell in love 1st time I saw her because she is adorable Then the time that she was thinking of leaving I didnt wanna be an obstacle on her path to grow as an individual so I said yes to her leaving
