The opposite happened to me.. everyone in acnh remembered my birthday on the 18th and my entire irl family forgot or treated me like an after thought.. it felt like an ordinary day but eh what you gonna do? This is a real thing that can happen in the game, especially for those who time travel on the Switch. If you accidentally stop on your birthday on another year before the actual one, then the actual one gets skipped & depending on how many years you time traveled, all those birthdays will also get skipped until the day you accidentally stopped on is reached. This happened to me in 2020... I think when I was trying the campsite method, I accidentally stopped on my birthday that was suppose to be on 2022 & went in & triggered the event because a visitor appeared on my campsite & made me forget to skip past my day. As "punishment", my 21st birthday last year got skipped & since the accident happened on 2022, I'm positive my 22nd birthday in February will be skipped as well..... T_T (Anyway Happy Birthday Damomo!) Update: They did remember my birthday!! I was so happy to celebrate with my dear villagers!
