I think Disney has a lot of future projects, characters, and lore hinging on people accepting The Acolyte. I get the impression they REALLY needed this show to succeed for a lot of reasons. The blowback is too severe this time for it to just be as disposable as BoBF or Obi Wan.

The irony is is that the show cost twice as much as kenobi and even according to the article kenobi has more views and kenobi lost money so at bare minimum they are losing 100 million on this if the article is correct So even with the gaslighting they lose 100 million

It becomes clearer and clearer what magnitude of insanity opposes us all! I mean, they can have tainted SW and I could care no less! But they will come at us in any way possible! According to these numbers (with zero statistics or methodology provided), mandalorian season 1, which was the first show to beat the office in terms of streaming numbers in YEARS, is the 3rd lowest, only ahead of book of boba fett and mando season 3. Watching WDW Pro ... (i always wanna say DVD Pro 😁), slowly lose it when it comes to having an not too hard approach on Disneys Star Wars, has been a sign of sanity. I have seen many youtubers who initially kept an hard stance on being outmost polite and give every benefit of doubt when it comes to modern entertainment. But they have all given in to the fact, this can not be defended or even cuddled with for good spirit.

If this is so popular then why am no one bombarded by it? Where are the TV spots boosting the success? Where are the statistic numbers to prove the popularity? Where is that "modern audience" making this popular to begin with? Why is The Acolyte & all its buzz not coming to us all where ever we go rather than we needing to seek for it ourselves? When whatever is truly popular it IS everywhere! You can't escape it, regardless if you're into it or not. If I wasn't following the KZfaqrs that sacrifice themselves by watching the crap so I don't have to I would honestly not even be AWARE of that a brand new SW show is out & running right now! Nothing, literary nothing around me is coming to me telling me about The Acolyte. I have to myself make the effort to find anything about it. Popular my ass!
