The Doppelganger Detection Department (D.D.D.) needs you!
There is a vacancy for the doorman position in your building and since you need the money and can't find a job you have no choice.
It's 1955 and for unknow reasons doppelganers are more common than normal, so the D.D.D. has taken action on the matter.
Your job will be to allow or deny the entry of the subjects who request entry to the building, it seems easy, but be careful, you can't overlook any detail because you could be food for doppelgangers.

What if the doppel hints started getting more subtle? Like, a skin tone just slightly too dark or too light, or the person doesn't have a breathing animation. Things like that.

The skin one wouldn't be realistic to do for this game, since our reference photos are in black and white. I agree with the breathing one though, it would be a great way to trip up speed runners! It would also be neat if the real people had small changes, so we might accidentally kill them. Things similar to wearing hats or not, but complete outfit changes and jewelry. Show signs of them having a cold, maybe even have them say they aren't on today's list due to needing to go to the doctor.

It's not blood. In the larger full color imagi, you can actually see that her dress is green with a reddish floral pattern. The green is the background color of her dress.

Each doppelganger has a set list of things that can be wrong, and there are certain rare doppelgangers who will have extreme differences that are unique to them. The head flu rotation Mia is a rare doppelganger, and the rotating head is unique to her specifically. The game isn't actually programmed to randomly assign traits to doppelgangers. Each variation is actually programmed in as its own entity.
