After decades of marriage and seven years working closely with Levon Helm-Campbell as bandleader and producer (winning three Grammys for his work) and wife Williams as singer-their eponymous debut together features eight originals and three covers honed at Helm’s legendary Midnight Ramble
“It was the most pure musical experience I’ve ever had,” Campbell says of their time with Helm. “It gave me the template for how to make music for the rest of my life: no egos, no agenda, no petty stuff. I got inspired to write more songs for Teresa and me to sing.”

Larry is so cool...Talent overload with no ego...Happy being the man or taking a back seat - whatever the song calls for. If every band had a Larry Campbell, there wouldn't be so many silly break-ups thusly their music could develop further and deeper and they would have more fun to boot. What he did for Levon and the Ramble was pure magic! Wow, is all I can say!!

Just saw them at the inaugural dirt farmers festival in Accord, NY. They were my favorite performers!

You are all correct. Larry and Teresa are the sweetest people. I have had several conversations with them over the years, especially since the came aboard Red House Records in St. Paul. There is not a disingenuous bone in either of their bodies.

2 of the finest players I have ever seen were when Charlie Sexton and Larry Campbell went toe to toe with each other, as they were playing in Bob Dylan's backing band together. Thanks for the video. Larry's personality and friendliness are every bit as great as his playing.

I met Larry once outside of Madison Square Garden (the weekend Dylan and The Stones played there)and he was just about the nicest guy. He stopped to chat for about 10 minutes or so. Was walking home after the gig--such a cool guy.

August 19, 2017 - I'm so grateful to have seen/heard this performance/songs for the first time here just now after a successful Bean Supper. Speaking of Shawn Colvin, I'm 'in love' with her now. Please give her a hug and kiss for me. Love y'all! Peace
