My former coworker is a big 944 guy. Had a dozen or so, turbos, full restos. Currently he has an LS 944.

Like the color. I’d make it looks as good good as possible and put some black Fuch wheels and tint the Windows. Nice car.

Those wheels are period correct aftermarket and look pretty good. As I recall the front doesn't lower very far before you get interference on the control arm. 944 is low already, with 17" wheels you might have some room but I would not go too low.

Id put a set of KWs on it also install a half cage and some some BBS LMs/ Michelin pilot sports cup 2s just a fun backroad ripper

Wow! Someone else with a base 1983 944! I inherited my late father-in-laws pristine 944 and it is an experience driving a base 944 5spd. I’m reverse engineering my knowledge of this car with no records existing of what service was done. I had a full service done before driving home. Now it’s my weekend driver👍
