Baremian: A Geological Epoch
The Baremian was a geological epoch of the Lower Cretaceous that began about 145.5 million years ago and ended 136.2 million years ago. It followed the Valanginian and preceded the Aptian. Geology and Climate
During the Baremian, sea levels were relatively high worldwide, leading to the transgression of the sea onto land masses and the deposition of sediments in shallow marine basins. These sediments now form limestones, mudstones, and sandstones. The climate during the Baremian was warm and humid, with extensive forests and swamps. Life
The Baremian was a time of great change in the evolution of life. Dinosaurs began to diversify and occupy different ecological niches. The first flowering plants (angiosperms) appeared and began to spread. New groups of ammonites, foraminifera, and other invertebrates evolved in the sea. Events
The most important event of the Baremian was the opening of the Atlantic Ocean. This new ocean separated North and South America and led to a change in global ocean currents and climate. Significance
The Baremian was an important period in Earth's history because it was marked by the opening of the Atlantic Ocean and the diversification of life on Earth. The sediments and fossils from this period provide valuable information about the environment and climate of the past.

Baremium: Eine geologische Epoche

Love watching your videos and thank you for posting. This fossil is very different to some of the others and it seems to me the preparation isn’t quite finished! Was it the finished specimen?
