This year, we are heading south, to Patagonia. This video summarises the first four months of this new adventure, during which we crossed the Atlantic from north to south and east to west onboard TUPAIA - our Dufour 35 from 1974. We sailed from France (Brittany) to Argentina (Mar del Plata) via Spain, Madeira, Cabo Verde and Brazil, discovering the joy of sailing in warm and (mostly) reliable weather, and completing our longest crossing so far!

Cette année, nous faisons cap au Sud, direction la Patagonie. Cette video résume les quatre premiers mois de cette nouvelle aventure, durant lesquels nous avons traversé l’Atlantique du nord au sud et d’est en ouest à bord de notre voilier TUPAIA - un Dufour 35 de 1974. Nous sommes partis de Bretagne et avons navigué jusqu’en Argentine via l’Espagne, Madère, le Cap Vert et le Brésil, découvrant les joies de la navigation dans les alizés et effectuant notre plus longue traversée jusqu’à présent !

Your camera skills is way beyond fantastic. Thank you for showing us the beauty that we wold not be able to see even if we were looking straight at it. One cannot see this only using one's eyes this can only be seen with vision. Thank you for isolating it into a format that makes it visible for the rest of us. Your visual storytelling is what a sailing channel should be about - to allow nature and the thrill of sailing to act as a protagonist and centerpiece of a story while enabling the viewer to enjoy your oneness with the ocean and environment. I love the perfect mix of mesmerizing images and minimalistic yet crucial textual information, entirely devoid of self-centered bonfires of the vanities other KZfaq sailing channels are (quite disturbingly) inundated with. Exceptional work! The same goes for your photography work on your website - it's breathtaking. Also, you and your partner showcase commendable cruising skills. Subscribed. Comme d'habitude, vos films sont exceptionnels. Nous avons fait la même route que vous jusqu'au Cap-Vert, deux mois plus tard, votre vidéo magnifie complètement les paysages. Il faut dire que les vue du drone offre un point de vue complètement différent mais c'est superbe. Merci pour ce partage. S/V KAIROS II.

Surely this film should be nominated for a nature filming award. Simply stunning! And the discipline..., anything that isn't just 100% is not used. I mean all of us who has been sailing will have videos of dolphins playing around the boat, and are excited just to have captured it. Not here, nah nah, we need dolphins AND perfect lighting.. Bravo!

Excellent video guys! Every one is much better than the previous one... Bear in mind from Mar del Plata southward a place called Bahia San Blas. A deep and safe anchorage something not so frecuent in the Argentinian Patagonia. I have spotted on Google maps most of ports and anchorages in this area. I can send them via mail. Regards Billy

Merci ! On n'utilise pas de LUT, sauf pour les rushes de drone où on utilise (parfois) celui fourni par DJI.

I designed the map using Natural Earth vector data and created the route and camera animations in After Effects. It takes a bit of time at the beginning but anyone can do it. Cheers!

You might be on the wrong channel, I think. Your comment is like visiting the Louvre and evaluating the paintings for their insulation capabilities... As for "real sailors" - 60 plus days on a 35 footer. Come on....

@@tommidttun9279 i think the video holds lots of good information . We see the sails and how they are set. The conditions and this is a totaly unknown coastline for me. So anything from this coast is good information to me.
