Would that our leaders and populace listen to these strains and open their minds like these musicians maybe they could have the courage to waltz into the future with love and finesse.

I was 22 and on the train in the UK, a four hour trip south with amazing colours as the train cut through the fading light into night time. The train had a novelty - at-seat audio. This was the album on the jazz channel and I immediately fell in love with it.

...Beauty is always close...We talk too much and feel too little...The eye misses all the colors and is sated on all the darkness...Precious time is wasted...Tomorrow becomes yesterday...Ah, the way women move...Wish that I had heard this once upon a long time ago in the A Shau Valley...Architecture is frozen music..."...I am certain of nothing except the holiness of the Heart's affections and the truth of the Imagination..."(Keats)...Blessings to all points of the compass..James Patrick Casey, Esq.

I keep coming back here, because this does not appear on Spotify and the used CD prices are extortionate.

Goooooooood, always liked his immense feel for composition and improvisation, here very reminiscent of Lyle Mays. #OdedMusic #OdedFriedGaon #Audioded

For anyone who's interested: The original composition this one is based on was written by the German composer Hugo Distler. Quiet nice, on a poem by Moericke. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m5x4dMKnpse2m30.html

I went to Amazon to buy a copy of this CD and quickly learned how rare and precious it is. As my brilliant Vietnamese friend Howard would say: "beaucoup bucks"!

Well Yeah of course. Actually my great great grandmother's father was the overseer of a plantation, french speaking in the carribean. She always told my great grandfather to remember he was part-indigenous american. So maybe we got our family name from a plantation where they grew the grain for the whisky smugglers to call The Real McCoy. Cheers Ranjit
