Blondehairedwarrior so I don’t use house paint often...I get nervous on how it will hold up colorwise. I have used it before and it seems fine 😊

Blondehairwarrior... I have use regular house paint Behr White Gloss and I am just a beginner to all of this but one painting I did I wanted to add a few lines through a couple of the colors that bunched up together in a small puddle so I like to use a toothpick to add a few quick swirling lines to them and the white house paint started "dragging" and I did mix it pretty thin at least where it flowed off the stir stick as it should so I'm not sure if i did something wrong or if it just does that if you mess with it after its poured as a base. I still use it as a base I just know not to mess with it after my other paints are poured over it. Lol. I do keep a bottle of it mixed with floetrol & water and use it quite a bit as a base , it is much more cost effective if you use white for a base slot, I'm thinking of making up.a batch of black gloss house paint as well since I like to do some of my paints on a black base. I love how it makes the other colors really stand out. I did a silver white & blue pour on a black base and it came out pretty nice

Julie Rositer Hi Julie thank you for the response yes I would only use it for the base and I was told to thin it out a lot ....if I were to use a white paint with in the paint colors I I would use basics etc... yes I’ve been wanting to try a black base I am a beginner as well. 😊

이슬기 I’ve never used glue. (It makes me nervous) I use Floetrol. Many artist do however use a glue.

Being new to the pouring I have been watching a few different artists to figure out which had to most comfortable style & technique so I have been subscribed & getting your notifications this whole time and I even went back and looked through your previous videos but somehow missed it till it popped up again last night THANKFULLY !!! It was driving me crazy trying to do different searches for it. Hahaha. So now I have it saved and look forward to giving it a try & I made sure I have all the same colors only I think I may use a metallic midnight blue in place of the navy so hopefully it will turn out well. If it looks even close to what you created I will be happy. I have my "list" of just a few artists who i.think are amazing & seem the most helpful & take the time to explain & really share their style & techniques and you are at the Top of my very little list. I just want to follow and learn from a couple really good artists .... I dont want to have a "too many cooks in the kitchen" type situation going on if ya know what I mean. Lol. @@SarahMackArt ugghhh sorry but if you dont mind I have a couple of questions before I try this because I dont want to ruin it !! Lol. It's my fave video of the thousands I must have watched since finding out about paint pouring lol. Ok here goes : do you thin your base coat more than the white you use in the pour ? What size canvas did you use & approximately how many ounces of paint did you use ? I couldn't tell what cup size you were pouring from . I'm really trying to get all the little technical things figured out because they do seem to make a huge difference in how the pours turn out. So many people think it's just so simple to just slap paint on a canvas & call it art they have no idea what goes into the mixing & measuring and the different types of paints & how they work with others. Theres just a lot more to it but you make it look so so easy and your work comes out perfect every time !!! Thank you for sharing !!! 😁😁😁

@@SarahMackArt well I gave it a try but it didnt even come close to yours . I definitely didnt use enough of the dark blue which changed the whole outcome. I still like how it turned out and it was pretty fun to add the finger swipes so o totally enjoyed it. Now I know to use way more dark blue next time. Lol.
