What a great idea! It is so beautiful! The lamp shade makes the piece come alive!

Very creative. If ever you are going to do another one it may be easier to place the shade on an old lamp (or a good one covered in shrink wrap) that is narrower than the shade. You will then be able to rotate the shade and pour from the same spot. If it's a lamp to be used again once you have placed the shade on don't forget to cover the top where the bulb usually goes. This method also means you can leave it on the lamp to dry.

That is badass. Love it. You inspire me so much. I'm getting my little painting area cleaned up and organized tomorrow. Bought some Artist Loft (black and white), a lot of Americana paints and some of that DecoArt satin enamel. I have my Liquitex pouring medium and a lot of other paints. So I am so ready to just get in there and create! Its so therapeutic for me, my depression just melts away. But i havent felt like doing it for so long, but watching your videos has got me back in the game. So thank you so much for sharing girl. You're the coolest.

Looks awesome and amazing :) I don't know if you've tried this yet but instead of using Decoart Satin Enamel I have tried using the Decoart Patio Paint/Outdoor in white and adding to paint in small quantities and gotten some neat effects.

You should resin it in a mat finish. I watched a video on turning resin into a mat finish and it was super cool.

One most important thing to remember... GESSO!!! The acrylics need something to grip onto, and also would have helped 'hold' your paint onto the shade.

Cool Nice 👍😎shape is really hard to work on for pouring maybe you can make some abstract design with acylics pen on it . Also before I thought the same thing to do - just for a smile for myself - but what I thought was when I turn light on, would it be safe for health when heat comes out and will it evaporate toxic? Just gave up because of that. You should be careful Maybe you can just use it like a sculpture🤗 regards honey

Pretty cool! A lot of wasted paint...maybe use a canvas underneath to catch the waste?

I love that you painted those strips black. May I make a suggestion? Paint the inside gold. (or copper) It will make the light reflect very beautifully and give it a warm glow. It's a great effect.
