Welcome to the sixteenth episode of Pick My Pour, the fluid art series where you, the viewers, get to vote on what acrylic pour I will create next. This week, you chose the dark galaxy vibe color palette and the Wandering Straight Pour Style on a 16x20 canvas. This week we had used named colored pallets because of incorporate into Pinterest as a way to share more info. This is not a tutorial, but a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the beauty of fluid art. Of course it's crazy but then we love you for the craziness and excitement of trying something new. This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm getting Aurora borealis with the star filled sky showing through the centre. Stunning

@minavillegas invented the Wanderlust pour - two wandering straight pours, poured beside each other but from opposite directions - they are gorgeous. And I love your wandering straight pour too Michael! Your fans picked an amazing color palette... and I'm so happy you left that negative space!

Hi Nate and thank you….I realize now that she is just calling the two side by side wandering straight pours the Wanderlust pour style…. Honestly it was confusing since wanderlust means a strong desire to travel so I figured we were just calling wandering straight pours wanderlust pours. Now I know it is specifically just for that style.❤️thank you my friend.

I appreciate your corners are clean and complete. The "roll back corners" (the ones that look like a half circle) detract from the painting, in my humble opinion. Amazing work.

Sorry i missed the live but omg. You know i love this color pallete. Purrrrrrrple. It looks like a beautiful purple lake on a planet looking at it from space. I just love it. It's very beautiful, but from what I've seen in your videos - you put way too much paint in the beginning and the patterns get ruined because you have to take down so much paint and tilting endlessly. I think if you put less paint it will be better.

Thank you Narind, this is a good comment and the perfect way to explain why I use that much paint. So use Olga Soby’s pouring calculator to start as a reference. For this piece it is a 16 x20 canvas with my paint consistency it call for about 18 fluid ounces. Now the main cup is a 10 oz cup and about 4 fluid ounces goes to the negative space/ pillow which puts me ahead by 2 oz. I purposely like having more paint for two reasons 1st I like to decide on the end composition not be at the mercy of the paint. 2nd my dry results come out closer to the finished pour without cracking or looking to dull from to little paint. For me it is a preference because more paint gives me more options and I am a huge fan of tilting…. For me tilting is not a process to just do…. It is a chance to explore further the composition❤️

@michaelyacovelli1763 Oh OK, I didn't think it was intentional, but if you like to do that as part of your process, good for you. I stopped tilting altogether because it makes me anxious to see all the paint pouring off the canvas to the table. Thanks for answering.
