I needed to keep it simple this week with my acrylic pour! Sometimes less thinking is more, and the nicest results come out of the simplest ideas! What's the saying, 'don't think, just do"!
I decided to use a simpler and vibrant color combination that I really thought turned out quite nice. I used a Deep Red, a gorgeous Violet and Blue to finish it off. I love how well this blend turned out and all the really pretty lacing that it created in the end!

Thanks Paul! I’ve found myself in a swipe frenzy for the past while, but would definitely like to try other techniques. I’ve recently started to make coasters and that has been a ton of fun. That’s not thing I haven’t had a chance to film yet for you!

I’m not into swipes (Australian floetrol too expensive and hard to get) but sure admire and appreciate what you do! Hope you will do and share some other types of pours - like ring, straight, flip cups, etc. BTW, you are really easy and pleasant to listen to!

I really like the colours, but what I love the best about this is around the half way point the stripes you got going the other way over the edges. That looks cool! I am always using the same colour palette all the time. My biggest problem is trying something new. I'm not that experienced yet to trust myself on playing with colour. I really want to change that. I have so many colours I haven't even opened yet!! I must have liked something about them when I bought them?? Love your swipe and the colours!!

I have to agree it easy to stick with what you know and like which I’m guilty of too! I have to learn the color wheel much better because a lot of times I’m just winging it to truthful! 😂

Gorgeous painting! As one who struggles with cells and lace, what advice can you give? Products to use, quantities, any advice for a beginner. Thanks for inspiration.

Thanks Jay, I appreciate the kind words! I use Amsterdam titanium white paint along with Australian floetrol- 2 parts floetrol and 1 part paint which is my cell activator. Since I started using this ratio and floetrol a little over a month ago it hasn’t failed me. 🙂 Also, I try to swipe slow to maintain the cell and lacing look.
