As someone who has followed her close for the past 6 years I can tell you that she is not only a great singer and performer but she is absolutely a great person .I Hope you get to feeling better soon.. btw this video was done about 3 years ago when she was 13 I believe

Hi Brandon. Thanks for reacting to Angelica's piano cover of "Scars to Your Beautiful." First, as someone already said, this was recorded three years ago when she was 13 years old. And yes, she has a personal connection to the lyrics and sentiment behind the song as a result of all the scars from her surgeries when she was 4 years old and nearly died of sepsis, and then again when she got her kidney transplant when she was 6 years old (a large scar from putting an adult kidney into a child's body). But as you said, the amazing thing about Angelica is her ability to arrange and interpret a song to draw you in and make you feel the emotion and meaning of the song. You mentioned again the reverb and I agree that a little less would have been better (in my opinion). I think that this was just a phase she went through as she was learning how to produce her home recordings as she isn't applying so much in post-production on her recent recordings. And her voice is clearly good enough to not need excessive reverb. Her live performance that I was at last month clearly shows that. One thing that you didn't mention (and maybe didn't notice) is that she sings the entire song with her eyes closed. It isn't until she ends her hold that she opens her eyes 14:28. And yes, this is one of my favorites as well, not only because of the great arrangement, interpretation and vocals but also because it is so intimate and personal. As you said, it feels like a one-on-one conversation where she's sharing her heart with you.

Hi! how are you? I really like your reactions and I would like to know if you could react to Tina Arena ? I really recommend her, she has a voice out of this world, for me it's the most beautiful voice in the world !! she makes notes absolutely incredible, she is Australian of Sicilian origin and from the 2000s she came to France to sing in French. She started singing in the 70s at the age of 7 in a TV show "Young Talent Time" until 16. 47-year career, in 2015 she was inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame. She sang at the opening of the Olympic Games in 2000, in short, a huge artist. And it's the song "Chains" 1995 that made her known internationally, and I would like to offer it as a symphonic live performance, so it will be a little different from the original, but I want you to go account of her talent. 😍 Thank you so much !
