Smug is half the reason I love having a command grab! I already did like having one, but playing G and then watching Smug play G made things so much more fun for me! Not just that, but fighting games in general. "Acting like you won't get command grabbed", amongst a few others, have been in my vocabulary for a little while now.

Modern gief would be a solid alt but his supers need to be fixed, lvl 1 needs a bigger hitbox and 2 needs to be a lot quicker, 3 is pretty good where it is

Damn smug, you became the very thing you swore to destroy! And command grab inputs are easier on modern controls but it does less damage. With classic controls you have more damage with command grabs.

As a fighting game noob, modern Gief was the first character I got into gold with. He is pretty fun :D But oh my gosh his level 1 super is so bad.

It's one of my most landed moves as modern Gief. You just have to learn the arc. You can land neutral jumps and jump in from half screen. It's not good for jump in from closer than mid screen or cross ups
