Released in 2008, Dead Space is an action horror title with heavy inspiration from Resident Evil 4 and System Shock 2. Dead Space comes from an odd period in EA's timeframe where there were pushes for more original IPs (before they drove them into the ground - some things never change). Dead Space is one of the most immersive, atmospheric, and best-paced games I have ever played
It's one of the most immersive, atmospheric, and best-paced games I've ever played. Each section doesn't overstay its welcome, constantly changing up, and knows just when to end, not feeling that it was too short. Dead Space is consistent in quality throughout and doesn't have any major drops in quality.
