Action in College World Series Game 2 Oregon State vs. Arkansas

My third game. There were 320 pitches in this game over 247 minutes.
I chose to cut this game because college games tend to move faster. However this one, being a CWS championship series, lasted more than four hours. The number of runs total was the same as the MLB average of 8.
However, I noticed that between pitches, college pitchers were much quicker than MLB pitchers. I broke this down due to the constant discussion of Pace of Play in MLB.

that foul fly ball is so hard to watch. first baseman by far had the best chance at it but when the 2b bumps into him he’s completely distracted

I remember this for some reason as Shaddy overcalling the situation and the ball dropping, but the right fielder has to overcall and make that play. You see this sometimes when young players have high tension, big moments, they clench up and fail to perform...just too much thinking, hesitation, fear and not enough playing baseball.

Exactly like 2011 World Series. Arkansas was one strike away from their first championship and if Oregon won, they would force game 3. A mistake by a right fielder extended the game and Oregon went on to win that game and the next. Sounds familiar

arkansas was not in the college world series in 2011....neither was oregon...........Oregon STATE lost to Vanderbilt, in super regionals. S. Carolina beat Florida For the Championship.....

Beavs were so strong in 2017 & ‘18. Could of been / should have been back-to-back National Championships.

One of the fans for Arkansas - I assume because of the red shirt - in the camera view would always clap during the Beavers’ at bats like a runner to distract them. Not very courteous. 🤨 And there was a Beaver fan waving that flag to distract the pitcher during the 9th. These are really bad fans out here.

Cole (RF) and Gates (1B) both had a shot. Shaddy (SS) called for it and way over ran it. Sad times for a Razorback fan. I hadn't watched a replay of that play since the night it happened. Until I watched this. I thought it was going to be fine...you know, water under the bridge. But no. Paused it right after that play. Now I'm down here making a comment. And I can't finish the video.

Shaddy was 2b, not SS. I must have been high when I posted that.
