Nah. I don't see that happening at all. Even the slight change to "Move Closer..." back in the 90s (more orchestral version), caused a massive uproar. Phone lines to WPVI were flooded demanding to change it back, etc. It was changed back to the original after a few days.

@@ThatGuyInPhilly I remember that moment. my mom and pop were one of the callers. When they heard they theme my pop was going “WHAT THE (BLEEP!)” where’s the drums? Where are the singers!?” Where are the horns!?” My pop dialed NEWS6 and told ‘PVI to “Change it back!” He can imagine protesters along cityline avenue. But just then PVI changed it back, the viewers gave a THANK YOU!” If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Not even change the famous “6” logo. I can accept adding the ABC dot to it.

@@jonacme the only changes that had to be done was switching from the use of a weather map with magnets (the "Good Guys", the "Bad Guys", and the "Boomers" as the late Jim O'Brien called high and low pressure systems and thunderstorms) to the system in use now (although it would have been nice to have kept "The Cloud" for the seven-day forecast).
