=======================================================
Active and passive voice are two different ways to express actions in a sentence. The distinction between them is based on the relationship between the subject and the action of the verb.
Active Voice:
In active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action.
The typical structure is Subject + Verb + Object.
Example: "The cat (subject) chased (verb) the mouse (object)."
Passive Voice:
In passive voice, the subject receives the action, and the focus is on the recipient of the action rather than the doer.
The typical structure is Object + "to be" verb + Past Participle of the main verb + (by + agent).
Example: "The mouse (subject) was chased (verb) by the cat (agent).
