I understand. I try to do something family oriented on Memorial Day. Went fishing with kids for 3 hours. If you do things like that, or spend time reflecting on life, it takes the edge off. You are doing it in honor of them and their memory. It helps me, at least. Take care.

Yeah, when buying booze gets too expensive, just make your own. You don't even need to buy more yeast each time if you maintain the culture. That might be why prohibition failed.

I knew a Glaswegian whose job began to take him around the Scottish Isles. This bugger could cheerfully clear 25 pints of decent beer a night and finish off with "a few whiskeys" He soon realised he was at the adults table after getting thoroughly rinsed when he drank their local "products".

If a person in Florida who's used to the Floridian weather goes to Alaska and experiences Alaskan weather is not adapting they're throwing a whole lot of clothes on themselves. Humans don't adapt to -40 ° f what they do is find a whole lot of clothes to cover themselves up so they don't die.

Artistic license. Although, some work environments (in the past) were so poisonous, that less poisonous substances (ethanol and water) as a catalyst to process out the worse toxin. Ethelene glycol (a sugar alcohol laboratory creation) comes to mind.

Depends on the person, long time binge drinkers can have limits far above normal standards. Alcoholics can have even higher limits. Some people are done with one while others will drink all night and not have a hangover.

Just to give a REAL shock to everyone. Humans live, survive and even THRIVE in temperature swings greater than freezing to boiling water. Granted, we huddle down during the extreme bits...but we survive, don't we? -90c is the coldest temperature on earth to +56c for the hottest. 146C swing is a heck of a lot. There's a reason why sweating and tools to make fur coats is considered OP.

-90°C hard to believe CO2 freezes at -78°C it would be snowing CO2 at that temperature...
@feldamar2
@feldamar2 3 ай бұрын
@@boelwerkr Yeah. That's an EXTREME for sure. We don't really live at those temperatures. We could make it -45 though and still have over a 100c difference. Also that -78c freezing point for co2 is only if it's pure. So you don't really ever actually get any co2 freezing out of atmosphere to get dry ice snow. Co2 in atmosphere is 2%. Not enough. Darn cold though.

Memorial Day is not a happy day. Get it straight. This is a day for remembrance of all those who have died in war, in battle. Those will never see their families again. Those who will never hold hands with a loved one. Hold their children. It's a day to memorialize them to remember them and to honor them. It is not a holiday. Remember that. Honor them. And remember and pray that we never have any cause or Reason to expand this day

I don’t want to be that guy but the author clearly doesn’t understand how planets form a star in it’s natural life cycle produces elements up to iron all heavier elements are made in a supernova. The elements a star makes are not released until it either burns out or explodes so every star system with planets has had a super nova it is a pre requisite unless you count extra solar captures which are incredibly rare
