Dimash wrote a stunning song and uses it, with his entire being, to beg for something seemingly unattainable; the entire experience is compelling beyond belief.

it helps to remember that Dimash not only has degrees in Opera, Composition and Musicology, but he composes, arranges, produces and directs every note, rest, sound not only vocally but instrumentally ~ thats one of the reasons the musicality often reflects instrumentally, his vocal ability~ you will also, not find any production that can compare to what he and his organization can accomplish -he's truly a genius - perfect pitch, recall and possibly a photographic memory - please check out AVE MARIA, written for him, as a prayer for all nations~ Dimash truly embodies the emotion of music - Kazakstan has only been an independent country for 30 years - he's wiser than his years - performs much in Russia and Ukraine and this situation is breaking his heart - you have captured his intent~ For Dimash, these are not merely performances, these are 'life stories' that he's sharing with the world and he feels and gives all in everything he does~

The song "War and Peace" was first performed by Dimash in 2017 in China. Dimash wrote this composition to the verses of the Chinese poet Yao Qian at the age of 23. It became one of the first tests of a musician as a composer, created as a thesis work of a graduate of the University of the Arts. The music turned out to be so powerful and corresponding to the text that it simply tears the soul apart from the pain that brings the horrors of war. It contains a message to all people to preserve peace on our planet. Undoubtedly, this composition can be called a real masterpiece of musical art, which showed us the versatility of Dimash's talent.

Yao Qian is a Taiwanese, but yes the first performance was in China. Whether it’s on purpose I do not know but it has a powerful message and deliverance. I believe this is not Dimash first composition but it’s his most important especially in this year.

Great reaction and comments, Cedric! And congrats to your "one-man-show"! 😉 You are fantastic! As far as I know Dimash wanted this song with this message to be in Mandarin so that he gets the message across especially to his Chinese audience. And of course his questions in this song are very current and sadly will always be... For me Dimash is as you said completely authentic in his acting on stage, the intensity becomes stronger and stronger and in the end it is pure desperation, more screaming than singing, more begging and praying than telling a story. So impressive and heartbreaking! Down to his knees, he still keeps on fighting, with means that only artists possess. And this is the parallel and reminds us of "Qairan Elim". It is the artists/musicians who are working, fighting and praying until the very end - there the piano player is dying, all cultural achievements (piano stands for that) are destroyed, what is left is only the singer on his knees, praying, and a glimpse of hope in the last major chord and the first colored image behind the rugged mountain rock.... Dimash is the opposite of naive. He knows very well what counts in life and he does everything he can to incorporate and convey these important messages in his songs. He is so great, so special! ❤️ Thank you Cedric, I love and enjoy your analyses! Take care, all Dears, much love from Germany ❤️

Dimash's Emotional intelligence lies in the perpetual tension of naïveté and wisdom!
@shrekswife2164
@shrekswife2164 2 жыл бұрын
I beg to differ. if you study his interviews his EQ is a healthy balance with his IQ. I don't think there's any naivete at all. Dimash is openly challenging, he's well aware of the horrors that man has wrought on the world and he's chosen to champion peace despite the warmongering of countries who only pay lip service to the goal of realising a peaceful world. He's doing what many of us can do but don't for whatever reasons we give ourselves. Being brave and daring enough to decry the status quo are the essence of those outstanding individuals in history who contributed to social change and are remembered well today. D possesses the same qualities with a wisdom and maturity beyond his years coupled with a fearless determination to succeed. In publicly standing against war on innocents, he's chosen a difficult and dangerous path, but he'll be even better for it. Nothing naive about that, just conviction and resolve.
@tallard666
@tallard666 2 жыл бұрын
@@shrekswife2164 that's what I said, a tension between naïveté and wisdom, anyone who is just one sided would not be balanced. I used the word "tension" instead of "balance" to match the tone of the reaction, who also used the word tension. Plus it's not about this song along, but his entire repertoire and artistic creativity.

Yes he composed this gorgeous song and had his words put into chinese by a famous poet, he always gives credit, he premiered the song in his 2017-18 concerts in China. Dimash, ambassador for peace is very anti war, he often speaks about it in his concerts. He just cancelled all his appearances in Russia and also didn't release his new song. His heart will be broken, many of his musician friends and his concert director are Ukrainian. He is continuing his concerts in Dubai next week but don't think his usual musicians will be able to appear with him. I am sure he will be fine with others but it must be very upsetting for him. 💔

Had Dimash been someone else, this would be a very brave move by him, for he has barely reached the peak of his career yet .... but not Dimash .... because of his ultimate talent in all directions, he can allow say this, create a whole piece of knife sharp political art. I've never seen it before ... maybe there was something in Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Uriah Heep ... but it was still not as total spot on and on such a gifted level as this. The technique has developed a lot since then and so that Dimash gilded with abilities on a level not many people can participate in - both physically, artistically and mentally - it means that music like this is at a level that takes some time to comprehend. I've heard this song "a thousand" times .... it still grabs me gently by the heart and hard by the throat. The tears are still rolling ..... (Google translate from Danish...)

This version is also the one with the best sound quality. I also really love how strong and fast the music beat is but his vocals are lighter. For me, it's like the beat of the music beats to my angry heart, it beats to how angry I am about war. Then his voice balances that anger with peace. It's just a spectacular song. ❤❤❤

Busca una versión con subtitulos porque la letra es importante para entender lo que expresa Dimash. Esta canción la compuso él y es maravillosa. Debería ser un himno mundial contra la guerra, ahora más que nunca. Un abrazo ojazos! 🤗

Cedric, thank you for always being so enthusiastic and detailed when you react to one of ❣Dimash's❣performances 👍👏🌺 and for the time you spend doing so. I don't know how you rest with all the projects you're involved in, especially in such a tough industry, but I get the sense you like it that way. Hope your agent is worth whatever share he's getting from your hard-earned bucks 💸. The name of the song with the burning piano that you were trying to remember is "Kairan Elim".

Thank you for another great reaction! I see you read the lyrics, which is great. It's an awesome song in its own right, but obviously the lyrics add a lot. I am not convinced about one part of the version you read though - the literal translation of the part in the end of the chorus (that you actually managed to analyse really well!) is "Tears turn into fossils over time; who will still remember the intricacies of love and hate?" And i have always thought that the meaning here is that the reasons for our strong emotions can be quite fleeting, even petty, and yet we let them drive us into rash decisions and unthinkable actions. Who will remember the details? No-one, because in the end of the day they won't matter, but the consequences may be forever. But i do like your interpretation a lot, and there is a chance that it is what what was actually meant by it.

Just watched this reaction. You are correct that Dimash truly believes in the message of this song. In addition to his songs, Dimash actively promotes world peace. He gave a speech about war and peace at the Central Asian Forum 2022 and his speech is easily found on KZfaq. It is worth the watch. Also, he performed Story of One Sky at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in September 2022. Pope Francis was in attendance and personally met with Dimash and presented him with a commemorative medal.

Very good reaction, Cedric. As you said, Kazakhstan is placed in a political hot area, between Russia and China "fire and ice". Also the other neighbors have a lot of problems like Afghanistan, where peace is missing for so many years. Dimash knows how important it is to live in peace. And this song shows it very well. Dimash always acted as an ambassador of peace. And now it`s more important than ever. I hope that peace will be achieved soon!

As always I just love your insight to everything Dimash does. I get to see his performances in a whole new light. No other reactor comments in the things you do, especially the symbolism and meaning in everything. Every tiny detail in his performances has a purpose and a meaning which you notice and understand. To those that complain about you stopping all the time, you need to do this because there are so many things going on, you would have forgotten most before the end of the performance. If they don’t like the interruptions, they need to go watch the original video first, then come back for the analysis. You will find so much meaning in Omir Oter another powerful and symbolic performance. I tried to send you a donation through PayPal but after about a month they returned it saying you didn’t have an account. I cannot do the patreon thing as my husband would definitely not be happy with that but I thought a one off thing would not be noticed. If not with PayPal how can I do this. I want to request you to react to “Know” New Wave 2019. He has some interesting things going on on the stage behind him I would love to know the meaning of. With New Wave I am not sure how much say Dimash has in the staging but I notice he seems to have such a fascination with fire. Can you please let me know how to send a donation. Thank you

Like you, I have no doubt his emotion here is genuine. Thank you for breaking down some of the techniques used here. I watch with an uneducated eye and you bring a whole new perspective when you point them out. Some of the people Dimash works with regularly live (or did live) in Kiev. I follow two of them, one who has left Ukraine and the other who has stayed to fight. Praying for them all. Praying they stay strong and safe. Praying for God to bring mercy to one man’s heart. ♥️☮️🎶🇰🇿🦅🇺🇸🕊🇺🇦

Cedric, I have definitely missed seeing your reactions, but so glad that you are staying so busy! I always love your perspective, like I have said before, I have learned so much from watching your reactions, especially about the use of color. I also appreciate you noting the fact that most of us have listened to Dimash for quite a while and in doing so, the bar of “good “ music has changed, some of his songs have less vocally and more with the message, Golden for example, he never ceases to amaze me. Thank you ❤️
