I saw Danie on stage and she should've had this roll served up to her with a did of mac n cheese on a diamond platter no audition or anything. So glad she got it and yes she was phenomenal. Same with Fantasia ❤ Go see this movie, not just now but RIGHT now.

I didn't know there was a reboot in the works. Hope it answers some questions like Why was Mister there with them at the end of the movie? I mean Celie left him and he just there at the end with them with no explanation as to why occuring at all before or after. I had to Google it and still didn't get an answer. Closest thing I got was that he was the one that got Celie's family from Africa. But that doesn't explain when he reconciled with Celie personally to be able to be at her house smiling at the end.

It’s called forgiveness….she forgave him for he not know what he do but hopefully this is a lesson for him. She is happy why he bitter. Forgiveness comes from the heart. His Karma was watching her be happy with no control 😂

The original movie was near perfect but there are 3 things that I can think of that didn't work for me I already mentioned the Mister thing in the end in the comments. Celie and Nettie practically making out at the end of the movie when they see each other again(did the kiss need to be like that?) The other thing is.... This "We gon sit around and whoop yo ass" "We" refers to Celie and her kids. That seemed like the dumbest and most out of place line in the entire movie. Celie's says that to Mister at the dinner table when it's announced that she's leaving That line made no sense She's leaving him finally. Why would she be worried about whooping his ass? Why would she want her kids to partake in that? In some vendetta against him that could put them at risk of the pain and abuse she endured? Celie's character would rather just be free of all the baggage and would want her kids to be as well wouldn't she? I would think so given the character and her journey established prior to that scene. There are probably other things that don't hold up either that I'm not aware of right now. Who knows?

But whyyyyyyy is there a need to redo this film? I am NOT looking forward to seeing black women kissing each other in the mouth all over again. It seems like there is an agenda to depopulate the black community and turn things upside down. More than ever I'm seeing black women get a platform to exclaim their love for another woman as if the black man is inadequate for companionship. Society is programming our young girls to not desire men, and it's sad. Both Okra and Tylia Perry are pushing this gay agenda incessantly. It's too much. But the day is upon us for an AWAKENING...

This movie is based on the musical which was well received. And my gosh you think being gay is going to depopulate the black community when there will always be more straight people than gays? And also gays aren’t infertile just cause they’re gay, they can reproduce without having sex but I bet you don’t know how that happens. It’s called sperm donors or surrogacy. Let homosexuals live and stop being homophobic it shows your lack of intelligence, it shows your extreme delusion, and it shows your prejudice. Black women and men can be gay, bisexual, lesbian, and straight. But stop believing that representing gays will depopulate the black community.
