It's almost like the whole using a business model as a foundation for the arts and art expression is STUPID! And regardless of what the actors and writers don't know, it's time that they do and are fundamentally a part of these changes. Making around $500 million for doing a grand total of 0% contribution to the art, expression, or content itself is on a level of stupidity in line with staring into the barrel of a loaded gun. The executives will NO LONGER make such an insane amount of money for no work, that money will go to the writers, they will get what they ask, and studios, executives, and the entire absurd business model will be allowed to survive for a little while longer. If they keep pushing back, the studios will be dismantled and all of their assets will be split among the tax payers in the respective regions and the indy organizations that are actually the ones making content for customers.

If you think the executives are doing no work you are high on the finest banana leaf. Tech laid-off thousands of high skilled developers and AI stepped in you expect me to care for a Starbucks squatter who chased Henry Cavill from the Witcher ? If they wanted us to care they should have cared about what we wanted to watch. Fortunately there are other jobs available or they can start their won businesses on streaming services.

AI and the movie industry are a natural fit for each other. The writers and actors want to stop progress and they're not going to stop it. Either evolve and adapt, retire or find another profession.

the overwhelming majority of actors aren't millionaires. this isn't "rich ppl crying abt not getting as many millions", it's union solidarity with the majority of creatives who struggle to stay afloat.
