PREACH! I tell people all the time that actor headshots are a specific tool to do a specific job. Don't believe everyone (or anyone) who says they can shoot your headshots for $30. And there are a LOT of them out there. I know some truly excellent photographers and they have no background in acting headshots. They've never used the words "industry" and "standard" in the same sentence. They're phenomenal but they're not acting headshot photographers. / I would venture to say you should know your types apart from getting your headshots. You should know what roles you fit and should be applying for. / LOL.. I recommend Jenna's book too. It should be a textbook. / I generally tell people that jewelry should reinforce the character/type or it's a distraction. Seriously.. I wish everyone could hear this.

do we have to wear the clothes we wore in our headshots for every audition ?

Ideally yes. However I have found if you wanna add and element that is different that ADDS TO THW CHARACTER then go for it! Like different color jacket or different jewelry!
