Actor Muthuraman was born on 4th July 1929 in Okanadu Melayur village in Thanjavur district, Orathanadu taluk. His father was Radhakrishnan Ondriyar and his mother was Ratnavathi Ammal. Native actor Muthuraman, who belonged to a well-established farming family, had six acres of agricultural land and a house. For him and his family, the film industry is a field that has nothing to do with it. His father is a lawyer and his uncle is a police officer. While studying in school, he became interested in drama. His parents didn't like that. So, according to their wishes, he first joined the government service and continued to look for opportunities to act.
Actor Muthuraman started acting in Vairam Natak Sabha's stage plays in 1947 along with Manorama. Similarly, Muthuraman, who started his performance as a stage actor, S.S. Joined Rajendran's SSR Natak Mandra and acted in countless plays. Manimakudam and Muthumandapam are some of the notable plays he acted in.
Gemini Ganesan made his debut in Tamil cinema with a simple character named Subbu in 'Thendusi'. Muthuraman had gone to Ooty in 1981 to participate in the shooting of Ayaar Muthangal, but while doing regular jogging exercise there, he fainted and died on the same date (October 16).
