Clint is the real deal. Calm, cool, collected. And, he's like his characters. A real man. And, a real, human being. And, as an American, he has real, common, sense. Something so many actors and, Americans lack these days. You know what I'm talking about.

I've never been interested in Hollywood, actors, movies to speak of, but one day I was watching television and on comes Clint Eastwood in The Good the Bad and the Ugly. I was hooked. I was mesmerized. I believe he singlehandedly got me interested in film. I still don't care much for celebrities, most of woke Hollywood and it's nonsense, but watching this had me tearing up, and then listening to Morgan Freeman (another of my favs) speaking about Eastwood so reverently, that was hit. I apologize if i get emotional when I talk you about Million Dollar Baby, what happens it's a meaningful movie to me. There's a saying for ground floor workers. The best Forman's are the ones that used to be ground floor workers. I'm starting to feel it might be the same for directors. The ones that used to be actors knows the drills, knows how the actors feel. And do a better job with the actors. Course this isn't true in all cases, and there's many good Forman's and directors that do amazing work having never been ground floor workers or actors.

I don't care much for newer actors. I think actors from a long way back leave their mark on us because they cut their teeth in a different era. Their era of movies required longer takes, fewer takes, and more actual acting. Newer actors takes are shorter, less memorization, and the director cuts and pastes all these tiny pieces..........and it shows in the movie because there are no scenes longer that a few seconds before the camera jumps to something or someone else.

Whatta great Man and true human being. I believe his spirit and aura transcend through the process like an ideal father, nurturing and guiding with no tricks and tactics generally brought on by ego and insecurity, having been on both ends of the process. Even better he understands that movies are stories meant to elevate and illuminate the human condition like very very few others. I’ve always been a fan of his since I was a child and this video is a confirmation of my hopes and dreams of who he is. Of course Clint did the Mule, he likes tackling the gritty topics that gnaw away at society. He’s also a sucker for an underlying moral story. The Mule was disappointing, back peddling to not be a hard-faced man and husbands have to be humble to wives. All a tone of regret on his own life. Not allowing forgiveness to himself that people are humans and make mistakes or choose pathways that work at that time. So his lone hard style fits for some people - the softer ending to Mule wasn’t fitting. Gran T on the other hand was well delivered. I love all his westerns. And I’ve tried to pin why, because watching his acting it doesn’t seem all that special. Other no-mark actors have done the same roles, say the same types of lines and become nothing. Clint has something! He can be so plain, single type, yet it works. Not one dimensional exactly, but not far off. He delivers messages very well. He fits a grumpy old man and often humble, flawed. I wouldn’t ever put him in many movies - but the ones he did worked. Very relatable. Favourite quirky film has to be Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. His films would have to be in my desert island collection if pushed.

Never rated him myself. Hes been in some really, really god awful films..Dirty Harry is an obvious one. He's also been in a FEW very good ones. Looks great in the brilliant The good the bad and the ugly, but, completely wooden as an actor..really wooden. Cant understand why anyone can think he's a good actor, let alone a great one. I find him really poor and one dimensional, personally, exactly the same character in every single scene of every single film. One character only and thats it. Amazingly, despite the years he's got worse instead of better, in my opinion, which is quite an achievement in itself.
