The Doom reveal is pretty clever when you rewatch this a second time. You notice the judge never blinks, he has perfect teeth, too-pale skin, he makes dramatic movements, and there's always wind blowing his cape.

This movie is a legendary classic. Everything about it was truly amazing and memorable. Judge Doom’s evil animated eyes, the Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny skydiving scene, Jessica Rabbit making every boy gain puberty very quickly, all of it is an iconic 80’s movie that’s a cartoon film noir.

Bob Hoskins was an absolute master of his craft. There is not a single movie I've seen him in which was not elevated, sometimes dramatically, by him agreeing to a role in it. I think he is the primary reasons Super Mario Bros became a cult classic rather than universally despised.

A pity you edited out my fave Jessica line: "Let's go home, Roger. I'll bake ya a carrot cake.' Btw, she was voiced by Kathleen Turner, and what a helluva job she did. What a helluva job everyone did, both the fantastic cast and the amazing animators, who brought Disney, WB and Fleischer studios together after decades of bitter rivalry - a truly landmark film in so many ways. And a helluva job from you too, ma'am. RIP Bob Hoskins.

"Oh my gosh, his bed is in his home?" I'd be more shocked if it wasn't.

This was probably the last great feat in conventional animation. The reason the live-action and animations match so well is due to ever single frame of film having a hand-drawn animation cell that corresponds with it. This entire movie was then and still is a remarkable achievement in cinema.

A few tidbits about this film: -You can thank Steven Spielberg (a producer on the film) for using his influence with WB and other competing studios to allow the use of their characters in a Disney film. (One of the conditions was that Bugs and Daffy had to have equal screen time with Mickey and Donald). -When Eddie and Roger are hiding in the back room of the bar, the overhead lamp gets bumped several times, which required the animators to adjust the shading on Roger several times. This gave rise to the term "bump the lamp", which was used to refer to animators going the extra mile to make something look convincing, even if the audience wouldn't consciously notice. -The only toon that Eddie is nice to is Betty Boop, presumably because his brother was a fan. (There's a Betty Boop doll on his desk). -Eddie said the toon who killed his brother had robbed the Bank of Toontown. Presumably, this is the money that Lt. Santino said Doom "spread around" to buy the election. -Charles Fleischer, the voice of Roger, was on set for every scene that had Roger in it, and would deliver his lines just off camera, while wearing a rabbit costume! -Roger and Jessica's designs were finalized until after the live action filming was finished. You can see early designs in the newspaper that Eddie reads. -Eddie and his brother working in the circus as kids explains the circus tumbling he later does to make the weasels laugh. -The "Harvey" gag is a reference to a movie with Jimmy Stewart where he has an imaginary rabbit friend named Harvey (although the movie hadn't come out yet in 1947, bu there was a stage show at the time). -The music score (including the jazz bits) was composed by Alan Silvestri. He also worked with director Robert Zemeckis on the "Back to the Future" films, "Forest Gump", "Cast Away", and "Polar Express". He also worked on several MCU films, including the first "Captain America", and three of the four "Avengers" films. -There was a deleted scene where Eddie sneaks into Jessica's dressing room to look for the will and gets caught by Jessica, the gorilla bouncer, and Doom and the weasels. Doom and the weasels try to scare him off the case by taking to Toontown and leaving him with a giant cartoon pig head over his his own head. He runs back home and washes it off in the shower with turpentine. This is right before Jessica visits him at his office. That's why he has no shirt on when coming out of the bathroom, and why the animation of Jessica's figure in the door window looks so awkward (it was added at the last minute). -The movie was based on a novel called "Who Censored Roger Rabbit" and is EXTREMELY different from the source material. The book doesn't involve cartoon characters, but characters from newspaper comic strips (who speak in speech balloons, like in comics). Roger is actually he VICTIM of a murder in the book (the murderer turns out to be a genie) and Eddie spends the novel working with a copy of Roger to solve the case.

😎👍 More than anything else, what really blew people's minds about this movie when it first came out was seeing Disney, Warner Brothers, MGM, Paramount and Universal cartoons all together in one film. It took an obscene amount of behind the scenes business dealings to get that to happen, and it'll probably never happen again. Way too expensive and time consuming. Jessica Rabbit's speaking voice was Kathleen Turner. Her singing voice was provided by Spielberg's ex-wife Amy Irving.

I adore this movie, especially the way it seamlessly blended animation with live action.

Keep in mind that this was made before the days of common commercial CGI , So, all tunes were hand drawn for the movie. In this respect this was a ground breaking movie

I remember my dad taking me to see this in theaters when it dropped. Damn near everything went over my head as a kid, but rewatching over the years, I can see why this film got all the accolades. This ranks near the top of my personal favorites.

Fun Fact: Director Robert Zemeckis was trying to get approval on making Back To The Future II when he agreed to direct this movie. He cast Christopher Lloyd as Judge Doom so if/when BTTF2 was approved, Lloyd wouldn't be busy with another project. Dirty Fun Fact: In the original print of the film, as was typical with animators back then, a few dirty frames were hidden in the scene where Jessica and Eddie were thrown from Benny The Cab. Said dirty frames revealed Jessica Rabbit likes to go commando, and whether or not she shaved (*cough*shedoesn't*cough*cough*). The frames were obviously edited out later when discovered, and can only be found on original VHS copies.

The essential story is based on what was to be the third installment in the LA Trilogy, with Chinatown being the first and The Two Jakes being the second. Each movie was about one part of what made the LA we know today (1st was water, 2nd was natl gas/oil, 3rd was the highways). Third movie was called Cloverleaf. That became the name of the company that was trying to take over Toon Town in this film. Interesting back story. Thanks for reacting!

6:30 They got an actress to perform Jessica's bit as a reference for the actors on set, and for the animators who would later animate Jessica herself. You can actually see the actress's real gloved hand for a split second as Jessica's hand slips away from Eddie's tie, concealed by Jessica's body since that'd normally be where your eyes would be looking to. You can tell it's the actress's real hand because there's a transition from the shine that Jessica's body has in the scene (including the hand), to a matte color with no light painted on. Actually, the entire film has a version where the actors do their scenes with rubber dummies as a study for the Toons' heights and how the actors would be interacting with the Toons overall, watching the behind-the-scenes of the film is very fascinating because Zemeckis was especially adamant in making the human-Toon interactions as believable as possible. The end product was so convincing that when the film came out, the late Bob Hoskins's son didn't speak to him for weeks on end, and when Hoskins finally managed to get him to talk, it turned out the son was pissed that his dad worked with Bugs Bunny in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and didn't even ask for his autograph XD

In the club, they actually raised the floor and had handlers with long poles managing the trays and equipment. Definite old school before CGI. Thank you for such a fun reaction, reminded me of when I first saw this movie.

To this day, this is still the most seamless integration of live action and animation. Plus, it’s a damn entertaining film as well. I remember going to see this at the theater as a class field trip in grade school. Good memories.

Okay, after seeing the movie, I caught the first instance of foreshadowing when the head weasel said the others would "die laughing." Only this time did I catch Roger telling Eddie, "A laugh can be very powerful...it's the only weapon we have." I enjoyed your reaction, Clariss.

'Jessica' was voiced by Kathleen turner, but her singing voice was the actress Amy Irving. This is a true classic that will be more appreciated in the future. For using both Warner Bros. and Disney characters they had to have equal screentime, so that's why you see Mickey & Bugs and Daffy & Donald together. Mae Questal who originally voiced 'Betty Boop' (and Olive Oyl) came out of retirement in her mid-90's to do Betty again just for this right before her passing. Another great animated/live action film is "Cool World" with Brad Pitt and Kim Bassinger.

Touchstone Pictures is owned by Disney. It was their way of branching into PG-13 territory. It’s still amazing that they were able to get the rights for all the other characters they had. They even got original voice actress Mae Questel to voice Betty Boop! as well as legendary voice actor Mel Blanc to voice his. Looney Tune characters.

The dip was use to take off paint animation off glass and thank God for Digital.

A similar real world animation movie is *(Cool World)* starring *Kim basinger & Brad Pitt* (only other ones are *Space Jam 1&2)*

I absolutely love this movie! The way they did the blend of live action and cartoon is absolutely amazing. Like what’s the excuse for modern movies? The attention to detail with how the cartoons affect the environment around them is crazy. This movie is my fave to rewatch. Every time I watch it, I questioned my sexuality with Jessica, scared to death by the Judge, and to this day still say,”pppppplease!” Lol.

As an actress, try to imagine what it was like for Bob Hoskins having to act for months.. to *nothing*. To maintain eye contact with imagiary animals. The man actually started hallucinating at one point. Bobs acting here is a special effect all by itself.

"Harvey" is a reference to the film (1950) of the same name about an invisible six foot- tall rabbit befriended by a man played by James Stewart. Stewart is Elwood, whose family believes that he is insane. I recommend this film for you to watch.

Fun facts: The majority of actors were *Brits* playing Americans. -They got as many of the original voice actors to reprise their original characters. -The acting segments took three months to shoot... The animations took four years to complete! -The interactions were achieved through a uses of animatronics, marionation and *really skinny* humans ie Jessica's night club scene.

5:35 If I remember correctly, the original voice actress reprized her role as Betty Boop for that scene. This actually reminds me, when I was a kid, we were in Tianjian China and there was a restaurant just outside the university where my dad worked. One of the waitresses SERIOUSLY looked like Betty Boop. Her hair even curled in a similar way. A very unique looking woman. Fun fact, wavy or curly hair is VERY rare in China except in certain minority regions. China has just under 60 recognized minority nationalities. Most with their own spoken language though interestingly, only a few have their own written language. Most just learned Chinese characters if they needed to read or write.

33:33 -- well, yeah. Yes, he is. I was twelve when I saw this movie, on opening night. It was mind-blowing for me. The amount of red tape that Warner Bros and Walt Disney Productions had to go through, just to get their characters together... it was crazy. The tunnel into Toontown was the same tunnel that Biff chased Marty through at the end of Back To The Future Part 2.

This movie is my favorite film of all time. Not A favorite, not one of my favorites, but it's my favorite film. I got to introduce my nieces and nephew to this film a few years ago and now its one of their favorites. Getting to share that with them is amazing. This movie has everything one could love: romance, cartoons, laugh out loud comedy, jazz, noir, murder mystery, sex, takes place in the Golden Age of Hollywood, amazing cast, superb voice acting, unsurpassed animation for its time that doesn't juat hold up but puts modern animation on guard. I get so nostalgic when I see this movie and could watch it everyday.

The whole thing about the freeway and the cable cars in L.A. isn't too far off base. The automobile industry was determined to suck every loose penny from the average Joes and Janes, so they made moves to dismantle the cable cars and evicted a lot of families from neighborhoods to develop freeways and force regular people to buy cars.

The movie was Disney-funded (hence the Touchstone label) but, largely thanks to Steven Spielberg's influence) they were able to get the cooperation of Warners as long as Warners characters were never seen on screen less than Disney characters. The animation integration was done mainly with a combination of lighting effects (every light source had to be mapped onto the bodies of the toons to allow them to blend in seamlessly, and shading was added to make them 3D), and practical effects. There was absolutely no CG in the movie at all. All the animation was hand-drawn, and the live-action effects (like holding real guns or real cigars) were done either with robots or with wire and cables.

The rare time a movie adaptation of an author’s book doesn’t result in said author hating it, but loving it SO much in the sequel book(s) they retroactively re-wrote the continuity of the book the film was based on to fit more the film’s one.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was made by Touchstone, a Disney-owned studio, which gave them access to Disney IP. They negotiated rights to use other studios' characters, the most notable being Looney Tunes. There were some stipulations on use of these characters, so Mickey and Bugs get the same amount of screen time and Donald and Daffy are equally talented with the piano. Touchstone was also able to get original voice actors for the borrowed toons.

Fun fact: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Rick Moranis were considered to play Eddie Valiant. All 3 of them previously starred on Ghostbusters(1984).

You can find a short clip aboput how they did this movie on KZfaq. It's pretty ground break and amazing for its time. Alot of things various things like wires (for holding up a newspaper or a gun)...etc. They also managed to get a license from WB and Disney, despite being competition toon wise. It was and is still the only time the two toons have been together. Spielberg had to negotiate for certain toons he was looking for. Mickey and Bugs being the big ones. I was 8 when this came out in theaters. I seen it with my parents. Loved it... but had legit nightsmares for a for years because of Doom's cartoony evil eyes and voice. Many kids had this issue it seemed lol. None the less its a movie I've grown up with and love watching from time to time. They are finally working on a second one but we know little about it. I really don't know if they can catch the same magic as the first one. Even more so since mixing cartoon and real world is nothing new today. Fun fact, Jessica Rabbit woke me up inside as a 8 year old lol. ^_^ Though being kinda hyper and a funny kid, I was always pretending to be Roger.

Since you were wondering how all these characters ended up in the same movie... There were actually quite a list of stipulations to get all licensing parties involved to sign off on the film. Some of the most notable one being that bugs bunny and mickey mouse had to have an identical amount of screen time, and that mickey wasn't allowed to hurt anyone, which is why buggs gives Valiant the spare tire.

- Betty Boop: Not sure if someone said it but fun fact, that is her original voice. - The Jessica rabbit reveal: They basically drew over someone in a green screen costume. They used a good mix of practical and special effects. I believe for the toon side of things, they first drew it out like normally, but then used a bit of CGI to get the general edge "3D" shading definition you see on them. Like for the Roger drink scene, all they did was have a robotic arm hold and throw the glass and they simply drew over top of it, basically they had the filmed scenes already and used that as a lighting base, iirc. It's the same thing they did for even Baby Herman when he's at Eddie's office door, but someone would need to help me with this to make sure. - The desk shot: Fantastic example of "show, don't tell". And they literally did the "day to night" of the scene in that one shot, they were basically scrambling behind the scenes as the camera rolled. You can also slightly notice when they change to "day" I believe in the shot when it's on the right side of the desk when it's going over the newspapers. - Portable hole: I do believe that is from an actual old black and white cartoon, I forget exactly which one but I'm pretty sure it involved the noodle armed guy you see multiples of dancing as Eddie is driving into Toontown while they sing and greet him. - Christopher Lloyd: Fun bit depending how you look at it, he was told to never blink while the cameras were rolling, so he was struggling considering they had a fan under him constantly blowing wind under his robe, but like the champ he is, he pushed through it. - Eddie yelling at Roger when he was singing and dancing: Did you notice he was on a literal Soap Box when he was going on why laughter is important? XD - Catching Doom's teeth: Good eye. ;) - Merry-go Round Broke Down: I BELIEVE that's the classic Looney Tunes theme song? I don't remember, but I DO know it absolutely the song used for when Eddie is trying to make the Weasels laugh. - Jessica's involvement: She's the typical "femme fatale" you see in Noir themed stories, after all "she's not bad, she's just drawn that way." - Toontown entrace: Fun fact, that's the same tunnel used for Back to the Future Part 2 where Marty was trying to get the Sports Almanac from Young Biff. - The train that takes out the Dip Machine: Fun fact, if you pause and look at every window of that train, people are getting "kacked". XD

Bob Haskins, Eddie, did not need the literal ball on a stick to interact with, in order to focus his eyea where the Toon will be inserted. This saved a stagehand crawling around trying to stay out of frame during Roger's frenetic scenes.

What did the shoe do? Basically it assaulted the morgue attendant by kicking him in an area that one should not be kicked in. Doom witnessed this and judged the shoe to be a criminal. Did that "crime" deserve the death penalty? No, but that was Doom's standard punishment for 'toon criminals. He didn't even need to hold a trial, simply being accused of a crime made the 'toon guilty.

Every single animated frame was animated by hand. 104 minutes long 55 minutes contained animation. There is SO MUCH history and groundbreaking work in this movie... It would be well worth your time to look into it a bit. It was nominated for multiple oscars... Took over two years to complete the animation. Every scene was filmed twice, once with props and once without to match up eyelines... There is SO MUCH to say about this movie.

Bob Hoskins and Christopher Lloyd crushed it in their roles. They got Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse to play together, this movie was a masterpiece.

This was a trilling & amazing movie to watch in the theater. To see all these cartoon characters together in the same movie was like, "WOW!" I was in my late 20s & grew up watching them on tv & on the big screen (drive-in, full-length cartoons & the cartoons before the movie started). I got excited each time l saw another cartoon character l grew up with. Mickey, Bugs, Woody Woodpecker, Betty Boop, Tweety Bird, Daffy, Donald, Brer Bear, even the broom from Fantasia & so many others.

Disney and Warner Brothers agreed to lend the characters on the condition that both studio properties received equal screen time.

Jessica is great. She’s beautiful genuinely loves her goofy husband, and is a complete reversal of the femme fetal. One thing I’ve been thinking about was there was a character in the book who was Rogers photographer- the equivalent of an “artist”. Her name was Carol Masters, and she was one of the people who believed Roger was innocent. In fact Roger was her favorite character she ever worked with- she said that he was a humble sweetheart who never gave her any problems. At this time, Carol would probably in the ink and paint department, and based on the description I imagined her being played by Amy Potts. So imagine if Janine from Ghostbusters was working in the dressing room touching up Roger’s makeup. Even though we don’t see that, I STILL IMAGINE IT. “JEEPERS, Carol- you outdone yourself, I look like a million bucks!” *Carol playfully musses Rogers hair* “i just work with what I’m given! Make em laugh, Rog, you’re the best!”

Just realized, when Doom shoots Maroon through the window, his gun lines up with one of the posters. It's a toon carrying the same gun, and dressed the same.

A total classic film. Not only a great mystery movie with great cartoon characters but this one’s one the what live action animated films to date.

Back in the 1940's resources were stretched pretty thin because of the World War 2, sometimes animation studios had to reuse animation cels. In order to get the ink and paint off of the cels, they used a mixture of turpentine, acetone, and benzine. I don;t know if the mixture had a name back then, but in this movie they called it "the Dip". The one thing that could kill toons is what the used to literally wipe them off the animation cel. Also, my understanding is that a lot of the smaller animation studios ended up getting bulldozed to make room for the freeway.

There is SO MUCH about how this movie was made, but you know it's a feat when it's (loosely) based on a book but the book's author actually liked the film _better_ than his book. As for "how" did they do the animation? - By hand. At 24 frames per second (same as the film; most film animation was 12fps) - Props/animatronics were used as placeholders for the live actors to interact with. - Properly shading toons to match the lighting of the scene was of key importance to making the result believable. In fact, this even coined an industry term -- "bump the lamp", after the scene in the rotgut room where the ceiling lamp is swinging back and forth, with Roger's lighting changing to match.

The drunk saying there was a rabbit in the bar "Harvey". Is a reference to an old Jimmy Stewart film "Harvey" involving a 6 foot invisible rabbit.

The voice of Roger appeared in Back to the Future 2. He is the old guy who got the manure out of Biff’s car and gave Marty the idea to buy the sports almanac.

It's one of my favorite animated live action hybrid films. Great animation great acting and AWESOME special effects. Glad you enjoyed it!

After all the times I've seen this, I can't believe that this is the first time I've noticed that the street car that Eddie hops on is heading to Sunset Boulevard!

The best mix of live and animation action I have ever seen.

Alan Silvestri was responsible for the jazzy and sensational score of this contemporary classic but he’s also responsible for composing the music to the Back To The Future trilogy, Predator (1987), Captain America First Avenger, Van Helsing, Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, Polar Express, Forrest Gump, and the Father Of The Bride movies from the 90’s.

This movie is great with the subtle foreshadowing, the silent exposition and the Chekhov. A single line, a piece of paper, the panning over the desk that shows everything Eddie and Teddie did including their circus background being why Eddie was able to put on that clown show for the Weasels. This movie is full of Show, Don’t Tell and has a villain pay off with all of the subtle clues about Doom being inhuman. They even quickly got the whole “I caught you in a compromising situation” drama sorted through very quickly instead of letting it drag through the film. They freaking nailed so much and that’s just story wise! Then we get into the acting and the animation/live action integration. This movie is timeless.

The licensing for this movie was insane, they’d never afford to do it today!

The behind the scenes of this movie are great, so much work went itno making it feel alive and the movement to fit with the animation

Dolores's restaurant is loosely based on Coles P.E. Buffet, which is in the basement of the old PE Terminal in downtown L.A...and still open. It's nice how much is foreshadowed in this movie - and so well. For instance, that pan-info dump of Eddie's desk not only gives us backstory on him and his brother, but lets us know they grew up in the circus, explaining how Eddie could do his comedy dance bit to kill the Weasels.

Disney bought the rights to Rodger Rabbit in 1981 the other Character's that was owned by WB and Harvey Comics and other deferent comic companies in this movie were the surprise factor...It was Steven Spielberg who asked permission to Universal and all the other companies that owned Non-Disney Character's to be used in the film.....Which I'm pretty sure the Deal for Universal/WB and Harvey Comics was the ability to use the same way in this film of doing Live Action melding with Animation for a future movie Which WB's was the OG "Space Jam" and for Harvey Comics it was for the Movie "Casper"

Fun fact: this was the #1 movie of 1988. The only reason there wasn't a sequel was because apparently the disputes between Disney and Warner Brothers over their IP made production for the first film a war zone to the point it almost didn't get made, and mediating the rights between the two for a sequel to a top performing movie was impossible from the outset.

This movie is a great example "there is no substitute for hard work." It looks amazing because the whole production crew spent the time and effort to make it look good.

Kathleen Turner voiced Jessica Rabbit in her speaking parts. Amy Irving (Spielberg's wife at the time, I believe) sang "Why don't you do right".

This is one of the greatest movies in 1988 I was not even old enough to watch yet I just a toddler but when I got older I ever had seen it's hilarious 🤣 and I love Jessica rabbit and Roger rabbit and the toon patrol car and the weasels

great movie, from the collaboration to the technical prowess to the sheer lunacy of mixing a gritty detective noire with the silliness. Also Jessica is a mood for sure. There is quite a lot of depth to the characters too if you do a deep dive, for example all the little hints about Doom before the reveal, its so good.

Jessica Rabbit was voiced by Kathleen Turner, she co starred in another Zemeckis film 'Romancing The Stone' with Michael Douglas. She also starred in Peggy Sue Got Married and many other iconic films.

the shoe assaulted the paramedic that was carrying Acme away. He kicked him in the nuts which made the ring fall which Valiant tried to pick up when Doom made his entrance. He probably watched the whole thing happen

What's especially interesting about Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse appearing on-screen together is that Warner Bros. and Disney, respectively, were VERY protective of these two characters. They literally would not allow them to appear in this film unless they got EQUAL amounts of screentime.

Fun film fact: Dip is real! Back in the days of hand-drawn cell animation, a blend of turpentine, acetone and benzene was used to clean the paint off each animation cell so it could be re-used for another production. And we've used 'pulling a Jessica Rabbit 🍳' as a joke in my family for years (mom's protective of dad 😅) and he agrees that she absolutely _would_ do that to him if she had to~😂

I have a feeling you didn't get the "say hello Harvey" joke. An old movie about a drunk who had an invisible rabbit friend.

This movie could never be done today. This is true animation without the use of a single computer.

@callmeclariss It took a lot of work to get all the companies to play nice. From what I understand they reached an agreement that all the characters from the companies would get equal screen time. That’s why you see Bugs and Mickey together, Porky and Tink… etc. Also the “Say hello… Harvey” is a reference to an older film about a man who sees a rabbit. Also I’ve read the book this is based on and wow is it different! Lol! Finally… #justiceforsqueakyshoe!

Jessica Rabbit has become an ace icon. Which, may seem odd to those who are not ace, but if one is anywhere on the ace spectrum, you totally see it.

so people have said bellow that this was basicly the plot of the unmade 3rd movie in the Chinatown trillogy. but i'll add cloverleaf was about how the highway and auto companies bought up the trolly systems in west coast cites in order to destory the public transportation system.

This movie is very iconic because this will be the first and only time you had cartoons from Tex Avery, Looney Tunes and Disney in one movie

This movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis… which was the same director as Back to the Future and Forrest Gump

The beginning shows Roger works in the cartoon shorts like Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry. You can even see other shorts they made. The film was a combination of Disney, Warner Brothers, Spielberg, and George Lucas. ( Lucas even created the effect of Jessica's dress shimmering). Afterwards, Spielberg fought for full control from Disney. He lost and started DreamWorks in protest. I like seeing different characters on screen like Mickey and Bugs. But imagine not knowing what Jessica looked like and being surprised she wasn't a rabbit. They kept talking how they were going to make a sequel and Bob hoskins said he'd love to do one, but they finally didn't give the go-ahead until the last few years. But when Zemeckis made Mars needs moms and it failed, Disney canceled the project. I still get mad at them for that 😊

PS - Kathleen Turner voiced Jessica Rabbit. She was in those Romancing movies with Michael Douglas (great films), War of the Roses and that raunchy one with William Hurt.

Back in the 1940s, the car companies bought up the Red Car Lines in Los Angeles just so they could dismantle it. This would force everyone to buy cars. All this wasn't discovered until decades later and the original parties were dead so no one could be punished. Since then, the old public transportation system in Los Angeles (trolleys and subways) have been restored.
