Kid was braindead if he thought he had any chance against a Yonko, especially one that mainly specializes in haki alone, considering how Kid struggles with basic haki loooool. Remember, like you said even though Kid along with Law was tanking attacks from BM, she never even used acoc, let alone acoc + acoa like she could. Even then, it's almost an outlier feat for them, with how BM never even showed actual yonko lvl haki against them. Do remember, both Law and Kid were getting one tapped immobilized by a simple thunder bagua from a normal hybrid Kaido who was severely holding back. Even a Luffy who split the skies just mins later was doing no dmg to Kaido who was just standing there taking hits to his face when he started using adv haki a bit more srsly and started to defend with it as well along with his natural durability stacked on top. Kid doesn't even know what advanced haki is lmao, he took one look at Luffy's acoa and he went like "Wh...What is that ??!!". He didn't even see Luffy using acoc to attack Kaido a bit later, only Law saw that lol.
