Well done! Very glad to see someone providing more tips to add on top of the existing guides. :) We just wanted to chime in here to mention something about skipping the C-clip removal step. While skipping the c-clip removal step may seem attractive, the c-clips are actually very robust, and skipping this step puts a weaker link at risk. There is a pivot in the cable at the base of the bellows near the c-clip. If this pivot is damaged, the cables can be rendered inoperably and unrepairable (meaning a new set would be needed). On older and high-mileage cars, the risk of this damage is even greater. There are a number of ways to remove the c-clips, and penetrating oil really should never be needed. Using a large flat-head screwdriver to get the clips started often works well; you need to wedge the screwdriver into any gap around the c-clip and rotate the screwdriver to slowly work the c-clip off. On cars with enough space, there's a way to take the clips off more easily using a set of groove pliers and a rotating motion. Alternatively, you can unbolt the whole cable bracket from the transmission and leave the cables connected to that bracket. This is normally harder to do and may actually require penetrating oil to get the screws out if the car is old, so generally, the c-clip removal option is preferable.

Question. The website states this works on 09+ Fit amongst the other applications. But the box for 1881 says 15+ Fit. I have a set from an 8th gen Si that I never installed; will they work in the '09 Fit Sport I recently picked up?

@@estewar03 We have confirmed and added a few new applications since the packaging was initially designed. The list on the website is most current. Sku 1881 Shifter Cable Bushings will fit an 09-14 2nd Gen Fit. 👍🏼

@@ACUiTYinstruments Awesome, thank you. My GE8 is in the shop RN getting a replacement OEM rear main seal installed. Figured I'd do a lightweight flywheel & stage 1 clutch along with this bushing kit, the shifter base bushings & detent springs while I was at it.

That shifter looks bad ass, like the K-Tuned ones. Interested what you think of these mods long-term. I put 1500mi on my GE8 Fit monthly with work and mods like this definitely make the ride more enjoyable. Great vid

I totally agree. I'm not out to race my car but some things just make the ride experience much more enjoyable. I want to spoof a Donut Media episode. "Short Shifters, Are they worth it?" I also want to try out those seat extenders or just replace the seat all together.

I have a 2014 accord 6 speed i4 and I'm gonna install this. Question though at high rpm it's hard to put car in gear do you know why

Is the check engine light throwing any codes? My car will occasionally rattle in the lower gears at the lower rpm range. I always thought it was the exhaust. I'm at 100k.
