So far, so good. I just crossed 42,000 and no major mechanical issues. For a still unknown reason, she's eaten two batteries but they've been replaced at no charge.

My concern is that he's might be packing the snow into the vents and under carriage, when it thraws and freezes again that's gonna be a lot of weight that the plastic parts gotta hold on to. The car might be off balanced too. It's also a pain to clean out. My Honda Accord did great plowing through snow higher than the bumper but the handling was thrown off because it had so much ice stuck to the wheel well and front bumper. Since it was in the middle of winter in Canada, the ice didn't fully thraw out for a couple of weeks. I couldn't hack it off.

i cracked my bumper last winter trying to take a fast corner and crashing into a pile of snow which was piled at the side of the street. I thought everything is fine and kept driving. the next day when the snow on my car melted, i found 3 huge cracks on the bumper. had to get it replaced. not an acura tho, it was a camry.

Not in a million years my friend...and It's not even that I own a Subbi. It's just Subaru has the best AWD system along with Audi, period.

Derrick Shields I love Acura and own an MDX but Audi and Subaru are better. They’re better because they don’t wait for slippage to occur before sending 50% or more torque o the rear.

Scott Watkins SHAWD doesn't wait for slippage to occur. It predictively distributes traction and torque based on throttle and steering inputs and then adjusts as needed IF there is any wheel slippage. SHAWD also has real torque vectoring, which neither Subaru or Audi have. Make no mistake about it, this is a full time AWD system, and the best one at putting traction down to the optimal wheel (s) on snow and ice. Newer versions of the system also have a "snow mode" which will split the torque 50/50 before you even touch the gas and give you a 2nd gear start, essentially giving you immediate traction on straight takeoffs, providing you have winter tires. You can have the best system on the market, but it's basically useless if you don't run good winter tires.

Jason Ouellette Yea I know that the torque is directed to the rear outside wheel when cornering and more power is distributed to the back when going up hills too. I didn’t know that snow mode i the newer SH-AWD models maintained a 50/50 spit though. Also, the new Audi’s performance models with the sport differential do have torque vectoring
